Hello! My name is Javier, I'm a Biomedical Sciences graduate from Spain, currently doing a Master's at Maastricht University, and a native Spanish speaker. I have previous experience teaching spanish to young children as well as adults. I believe learning a new language should be fun and motivating, with kids, I like to use games, songs, and everyday conversations to help them practice naturally. As a musician, I also enjoy bringing music into lessons to make them even more engaging. I also work with teenagers and adults who want to improve their Spanish, whether it's practicing conversation with a native speaker, working on grammar and vocabulary, or getting focused correction and support on specific topics. Hello! I am an English saxophonist, guitarist, pianist and composer / music theorist, currently based in Maastricht, NL. I've been playing saxophone, guitar and piano for 15 years and after building a life around music and creative expression, it's my passion to share that with anyone eager to learn; at any level. I spent 2019-2022 touring South East Asia and East Africa playing saxophone in a jazz ensemble, and teaching at schools and privately. In 2017, I was awarded a full scholarship to study for a Diploma in Music at SEGi College Subang Jaya, Malaysia, where I expanded my skills in classical singing and violin. I completed the IB DP with a consistent 7/ high 6 in Higher Level History, and this has always been one of my favorite subjects. I am very good at this subject and have somewhat of a passion for it. I have a very good grasp of what is expected from the IB students as pertains to this subject, and I know the ins and outs of the criteria and the weird and wonderful little ways in which the IB expects the students to perform. I am able to help with any course work, homework, assignments, or assessments. As pertains to the DP students, I also did my EE on a History topic so I can assist there if need be.
