Violin lessons in Maastricht from beginners to advanced violinistsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand. A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists. I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018. Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

Guitar Lessons (Jazz & Pop) from Beginner to Advanced, let’s learn your way!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! I am an English saxophonist, guitarist, pianist and composer / music theorist, currently based in Maastricht, NL. I've been playing saxophone, guitar and piano for 15 years and after building a life around music and creative expression, it's my passion to share that with anyone eager to learn; at any level. I spent 2019-2022 touring South East Asia and East Africa playing saxophone in a jazz ensemble, and teaching at schools and privately. Music has been a passport for me to travel the world and connect with such a variety of people and cultures. I believe music can bring so much value to our lives, it can excite us and move us, give us a sense of purpose and identity and ultimately enrich us in ways we would never otherwise grow. Whether you are just starting out on your journey as a musician and you need help with the very basics of your instrument, or you have existing experience but are looking for help / structure to take you to the next level - I am so looking forward to working with you in an engaging environment to help you turn a hobby into a serious passion. I also teach music theory if you are an existing musician but have not taken the first steps into theory yet, or you are preparing for upcoming exams all the way up to Conservatorium level. I aim to tailor our teaching environment to fit the individual needs, level and personality of each student. Want to learn how to play saxophone, guitar or piano? Let's meet up! Want to learn new music by ear, develop your technique, or expand your harmonic / rhythmic knowledge? Don't know where to start with composition, or music theory? I'm open to it all! Look forward to meeting you!! Francis Lessons taught in English & preferred at students location

Piano and Singing Lessons/ Master's Degree holder/ 17 years of teaching experienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Since childhood, I have been passionate about music, singing, and dancing along to performances on television. My musical journey began in 2001 when I started training as a pianist. In 2017, I was awarded a full scholarship to study for a Diploma in Music at SEGi College Subang Jaya, Malaysia, where I expanded my skills in classical singing and violin. I later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Studies with First Class Honours from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, accredited by Trinity College Dublin, followed by a Master’s degree in Opera and Music Performance from the Conservatorium Maastricht, graduating with cum laude. With 17 years of teaching experience, I have guided students of all levels—from beginners to aspiring professionals. Some of my students have been accepted into prestigious music colleges with full scholarships, while others have passed their piano and singing exams with distinction. I understand that not every student enjoys music lessons at first, and I take the time to communicate with both students and parents to find the best approach for each individual. My goal is to create a positive, engaging learning environment where students not only improve their musical skills but also develop confidence, creativity, and a love for music. Beyond teaching and performing, I am a strong believer in overall well-being—I'm a yoga and Pilates enthusiast, a lover of good food, and an avid traveler. These experiences shape my teaching philosophy, helping me bring energy, discipline, and creativity into my lessons. Whether you’re looking to build a solid musical foundation or refine your artistry, I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals!

Singing lessons for all levels/music theory/ rhytmic skills/ piano basic skillsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! I’m Eleni, a singer from Greece with nearly seven years of experience teaching music. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation or more experienced wanting to refine your skills, all lessons are tailored to each student's needs and goals, with the aim of building confidence and authenticity in their singing and/or develop a strong foundation on musical knowledge. For the singing lessons, we'll be covering breathing and vocal technique, interpretation along with expression and, depending on your goals, the approach we will have can be either focued on singing or holistic; including music theory, rhythmic skills and basic piano skills. Lessons are available in various styles, so whatever your musical passion, we can bring it to life together! And, having a background in jazz music, I can also help you develop your improvisation skills, giving you the freedom to explore and create your own sound! Music theory, rhythmic lessons and basic piano skills are, of course, also offered as separate courses. So if you have no idea on how to read music or you are feeling clumsy when it comes to rhythm or piano, there's no problem! We can work on this together from scratch! :)

Science That Makes Sense – Real Learning with a Real ScientistTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Maths, Physics & Chemistry Tutor – Learn with Understanding, Not Just for Exams For Dutch, IB, British, and International Curricula – Taught in English Hi! I’m a PhD graduate in Materials Engineering with a strong foundation in maths, physics, and chemistry — subjects I’ve not only excelled in throughout my academic journey but have come to deeply enjoy. My research focused on semiconductors and materials science, and I bring that real-world scientific experience into every lesson I teach. I offer tutoring for students across various school systems in the Netherlands — including Dutch (VMBO, HAVO, VWO), IB, British (IGCSE, A-Levels), and international programs — at both secondary and early university levels. But here’s the thing: I don’t believe in just “getting through the syllabus.” I believe in making these subjects meaningful and intuitive. Whether it’s why equations really work, or how chemistry shapes the world around us, I focus on building real understanding — the kind that sticks and inspires. I love teaching. I do this because it’s genuinely exciting to help students unlock difficult concepts and feel confident. You won’t just hear “this is how it’s done” — we’ll figure out why it works, where it applies in real life, and how to think like a problem-solver. I learn alongside you too — every student brings a new perspective, and that keeps things dynamic. Whether you’re struggling, aiming for top grades, or just want to feel more connected to these subjects, I’m here to help — with patience, clarity, and curiosity. Let’s make learning a little more exciting, and a lot more meaningful.

Ana was very quick to respond to my first message and very friendly. Speaks English well which is great for me! We arranged our first lesson easily, and as a total beginner, she advised me on where I could hire a violin. Our first lesson was great, she was very patient and explained the basics well. Lesson times can be flexible which helps me since I work shifts and cannot commit to the same time each week. I would recommend Ana to anyone wanting to learn violin.

Aga is an incredibly patient and friendly teacher who brings a contagious enthusiasm for music to the lesson. Her passion is evident, creating a motivating and encouraging environment for me as a student. She is attentive to my progress, regularly checking if the pace feels comfortable or overwhelming, and adjusts accordingly to ensure a positive learning experience.

Brilliant! Realized why I am not able to hit a high note, with practice and her guidance, I am confident I will soon be singing well and hitting notes I never thought I could.
