I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them. As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. I have been teaching photography since 2009. Because you are looking left and right for information, advice and books to read but you are getting scattered. You constantly watch chess videos on the Internet which are entertaining but it is too passive an activity which does not really make you study chess in depth. Then you will play online games at too fast a pace while you do not master the general principles. In fact, you have developed bad reflexes because you keep repeating the same mistakes without even realizing it, which is why your level quickly stagnates. When you analyze your games, click on the 20th move and you will realize that often your game is already badly engaged. You often manage your time badly, you play too fast when it is important to choose the right voice and you hesitate too long in positions where the moves are obvious. Then, you make a game report which tells you that you played with 80% accuracy but nevertheless you lost and you do not necessarily understand the main reasons. And finally, you watch the game with an analysis module which offers you good moves but does not provide you with the explanations necessary to fully understand them. Maria is an excellent teacher who can adapt her teaching style according to her student. My daughter and I both had lessons with her and we both found the lessons both enjoyable and challenging. My 8 years old son really liked the chess lesson with Abhishek.
