English is a language which is growing in In importance and is widely accepted as a key skill to have. As well as this, learning a new language can be one of the most fun activities you can do and I would be really happy to help you with this! My name is Louis, I am a 23 years old and am a native English speaker. Before The Netherlands, I have lived in the UK for 16+ years; all of my school education has been in the English taught British school system. This has helped clients in particular, with children in a British school here. I have designed my classes with the aim of building the basic skills required in holding conversations, succeeding in an English speaking environment but also teaching students who have an advanced level but require extra help (often with the technical side, for example the rules surrounding tenses and other grammatical points). The classes are best performed on a one to one basis but I have taught small group sessions (less than 5) before. I hope for my lessons to be fun, informative and practical.

Therefore, giving some French tutoring appears as a really gratifying experience, for both the tutor and the tutored! French being my first language, the level of my classes can depend on the level of the student: from learning the very first basis of the language to high school-level essay writing, I'd love to share some of my culture and language through my classes. I grew up in New Zealand and lived there for 6 years. Additionally, I received a one-year scholarship to study in the USA, which means I speak English as good as a native speaker. I have taken English classes in primary, middle, and high school. I have also taken English Literature classes and Presentation Speaking classes in English. During my final year of high school, taking the International Baccalaureate Program and English B at Higher Level, I received a 7 (highest grade) on my final oral exam and a 7 on my final written exam. I am able to tutor in holding conversations, meaning learning through having discussions with a native speaker. I may also teach literature, the analysis of texts, prepare for exams such as International Baccalaureate, SAT, or basic standardized testing. I believe English is the international language of the world and is a basic tool of the 21st century. However, at times, it may seem complex. I believe teaching through having discussions is the best way to learn. I would prepare structured classes that would enable you to learn effectively and repeat the previously acquired knowledge in order to memorize it and successfully become more fluent and comfortable in the language. Please reach out if any further information is needed.

Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish. On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Consequently, my work methodology is mostly focused on motivating the student to speak freely and to learn by acknowledging his/her mistakes. From the beginning, I will try to address the lessons 100% in Spanish, with the aim of familiarizing the ear to the pronunciation. In terms of written exercises, it is important to know what are the student’s learning priorities. When starting with the written part, it is important to know the student is dedicated to practicing and that he will also benefit from this in his future experiences. This is why the exercises will address current social problems that allow him to be fluent when he meets other Spanish speakers. In order for the student to learn as easily and efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, drafted according to the parts that the students wishes to master best (speaking, reading, listening, writing). This way, the student will benefit from a fluid learning process and, with dedication, will be able to excel in Spanish in a short period of time.

You can contact me for extra German lessons at any level. This may include speaking, reading and writing skills, but also grammar, literary history or exam training. I myself have a broad German education: MO-A, MO-B and doctoraal. I have provided German lessons for the Scheidegger Institute, the Educational Center, in-company training and students of VCL The Hague. In addition to German, I teach Dutch up to and including the level of secondary education and NT-2 to non-Dutch speakers. I do not assume fixed teaching methods, but tailor the teaching material to you as an individual student as optimally as possible. In doing so, I make good use of my knowledge from other courses: coaching, counseling, mediation and didactics. As a retiree I can freely dispose of my time and therefore I am flexible in terms of dates and class times. In principle, a lesson lasts one clock hour. This can be extended if desired. I can always be contacted for interim questions. Finally, I can mention that I am a 'stacker' myself, who from the age of 21 to 55 did all his studies in the evenings in addition to a full-time job. Again, "Nothing is impossible for those who really want to"!
