I have a USA teaching license and a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Inclusive Education (Grades K-6 and Students with Disabilities) from the State University of New York at Fredonia. My experiences include teaching at primary international schools in Belgrade, Serbia for 2 years and 3 years at international schools in The Hague, Netherlands. I have worked at two IB primary schools. Alongside teaching at international schools, I have 8 years of experience teaching English. I also have experience teaching grade 1 and 3 in elementary schools in New York State. I have taught children from 2-17 years old and adults. My students range in levels from beginners who are new to learning English, to fluent English speakers that need support or would like to further excel or maintain their fluency. Based on my experiences, I have learned to adjust my teaching style based on different students' needs, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and learning abilities. Lessons are provided to children and teenagers. Lessons are customized to the learning needs of your child. Whether that be learning English for the first time or practicing improvement of speaking, reading, comprehension, pronunciation, listening, writing, grammar, etc. Lessons can be aimed towards learning a topic such as food, animals, sports, emotions, and more. For children who are fluent English speakers, tutoring can be given to further excel in particular areas. Subjects that interest the student such as science, history or world topics can be incorporated into the lesson to broaden their knowledge. Support can also be provided in learning organizational skills, research, and mini projects for older children. I am available to help with studying, homework, or school projects. For online learning, I use a variety of platforms, websites, educational games, and e-books to reach the learning goals of my students. Additional homework can be provided if requested. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended.

Who truly knows how to tailor a programme to each individual student. In 3 weeks, I've grown from knowing close to no grammar to being able to form proper sentences for everyday use. One aspect I value a lot about her way of teaching is that we apply the grammar not only to every-day situations but also to topics that tailor to my personal life circumstances. I have been convinced that, with the help of Marina, I will be able to grow my Mandarin skills exponentially over the next few months.
