Trusted teacher: I am a Spanish native teacher, with extensive experience teaching Spanish to foreign students at from primary and secondary levels and higher education. I have taught American and UK students over the last seven years, whilst pursuing my studies in Spain and in the United Kingdom. I was recently awarded my PhD, through which I learnt methodological aspects of teaching different types of public from different backgrounds. My classes are dynamic and centred on the student's progress, carrying out different interactive activities, role-playing and exercises that will make the student increase his/her confidence with the use of Spanish, whilst learning grammar and vocabulary. I usually give the students the opportunity to send me writings that I correct at home, and I recommend listening activities that will help the student to improve his/her understanding of the language during lessons. My complete proficiency of the English language makes it easier for the student to ask specific questions or to understand how some expressions work in Spanish, having my English explanation at hand (in order to make them fully understand the most difficult aspect of Spanish). My main goal is to improve your speaking by using only English during our classes, as well as enhance your grammar, reading and listening skills. The classes with me are engaging and full of creativity. Moreover, I differentiate myself from other tutors by using my own methodology in teaching. My lessons are a combination of many books, where I pick the most efficient exercises to learn and make a personal "book" for each student depending on what requires more work. From time to time, I organise a group call/meeting, where my students and I communicate with each other over a cup of tea. That way, my scholars get to be in a multicultural environment, learning how to understand English with different accents and build connections with others in a new language. I have completed an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) examination in 2019 with a CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) level of B2. In my last EF SET (EF Standart English Test) in 2022, the results have shown an Advanced English Level (C1). In addition, I have studied bachelor's in Psychology in English for 3 years. These days, English is my first language to use in day-to-day life, which allows me to practice it 24/7, always finding something new for myself to learn. As for the lessons themselves, they are online (Skype, worldwide) or face-to-face at the student's location (Barcelona). My lesson with Juan was perfect for my needs. Having a conversation sitting outside a coffee bar in Ibiza is very different from learning Spanish in a classroom. With Juan you learn Spanish naturally and in context, He picks up on areas of weakness, helps you sound more like a local and explains grammar where necessary. Juan is a lovely person and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. I'm already thinking about the next time I can get to the island and take more classes. Fully recommended!

Cristina is an amazing teacher of Spanish. She quickly seemed to assess my level and spoke to me only in Spanish throughout the lessons, at a speed which was appropriate for me to understand. She spent as much time as I needed to explain a particular point and was very patient. She was also friendly and approachable. I would recommend Cristina very highly to anyone who is considering Spanish lessons.
