Trusted teacher: Hi! I’m Didac Barber, a professional concert pianist and experienced teacher from Spain, now based in the Netherlands. I hold a Master’s in Piano Performance from The Hartt School (USA) and trained at ESMUC Barcelona, studying with top international pianists like Adolf Pla and Luiz de Moura Castro. I’ve performed across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, and have taught piano for over 15 years — in conservatories, private studios, and internationally online. My passion lies not only in performance but in helping students discover what they are capable of. I’m dedicated, empathetic, and patient — and I want you to enjoy your learning journey as much as I do sharing it. Each student is different, and so are my lessons. Whether you're just starting out or already preparing for auditions or performances, I’ll adapt the lesson to your goals, challenges, and musical taste. We can work, all in a way that feels personal and motivating, on: * Technique and sound production * Repertoire (classical, contemporary, film music, etc.) * Musical expression and interpretation * Performance preparation (concerts, exams, auditions) * Practice strategies and confidence-building I’m here to help you be the best pianist you can be, whether that means mastering Bach or finally playing your favorite piece with confidence. Lessons are at students home or online, and taught in English, Spanish, or Catalan, unfortunately not in Dutch for now. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I’d love to hear about your musical goals and help you reach them. Let’s make music together! — Didac 🎶

Trusted teacher: As a medical student who lived in the United States and earned a 20/20 in my French and English Baccalaureate, my approach is based on an interactive and personalized method, adapted to the needs of each student. My teaching techniques and methods: • Listening and assessment: During the first session, I take the time to assess the student's level, their strengths and their difficulties. Based on this, I build a tailor-made program. • Communicative approach: For English, I particularly insist on oral expression from the first lessons, because regular practice is essential for rapid progress. Typical course outline: 1. Review of previous concepts: We begin with a quick recap of previous lessons to reinforce what we have learned. 2. Practical exercises: I introduce new concepts through practical exercises (writing, listening comprehension, etc.) that we correct together. 3. Application of knowledge: We end with a practical application, often in the form of a conversation in English, oral simulation, or text analysis. 4. Personalized feedback and advice: At the end of each lesson, I provide detailed feedback and suggest exercises to work on your own to work on weak points. My specificities as a teacher: • Student-centered method: Each lesson is personalized. I am flexible and adapt to the student's pace, while establishing a relationship of trust. • Exam preparation: I am experienced in preparing students for the International French Baccalaureate (BFI) exams.
