About Me
I have always been fascinated by the idea of sharing the knowledge that I have worked so hard to amass. I always try to teach my students that in both languages and mathematics, the only key is practice, practice, practice. I was born and raised in Venezuela. Four years ago I moved to the US to pursue higher education. During these years I worked as a Teaching Assistant for classes such as Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics I and II. When I first took the TOEFL (six years ago), I knew enough English to watch a movie without subtitles andg get most of what was happening and to engage in very simple small talk. I got 108 that time. A prep course I did for the TOEFL taught me that this exam is more about knowing the exam than about the English itself. The predictability of these standardized tests is your biggest weapon. After having moved to the US and having lived there for four years, I can safely say that my level of English is exponentially better than it was when I took the TOEFL. The classes would basically consist of non-stop practice of the different test sections. The goal is for you to show up on the exam date knowing everything that is coming and having the confidence that you can answer it.
