Hey, I am Koné (23) a full time artist and musician. I am mainly a percussionist with a big focus on handpan (also known as hang, hang drum, pantam,...). I have been playing percussion for 17 years and through studying and practicing different instruments have been able to develop a great teaching method. I have been a student of several professionals: Kabecao, Nadishana, Malte Marten, David Kucherman, Rosie Bergonzi, Johan de Baedts, Eric Bosteels, Wouter van Tornhout, Patrick Dorcean, Dré Pallemaerts, Sattar Khan, Toni Vitacollona, Benny Bettane, Dan Mayo,...

I would like to transfer the knowledge I have gained over these years to you! The lessons are suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced: I like to adapt to the student in question, so there is always material and exercises to complete the musical "circle" of skills.

Ik ben Koné, een full-time artiest en muzikant. Ik ben voornamelijk percussionist met een grote focus op handpan (ook gekend als hang, hang drum, pantam,...). Ik speel al 17 jaar percussie en heb door het bestuderen en oefenen van verschillende instrumenten een mooie lesmethode kunnen uitwerken.

In deze methode pas ik me zeer graag aan op de leerling in kwestie, van beginner tot gemiddeld tot gevorderde spelers is er telkens materiaal en oefeningen om de muzikale 'cirkel' van skills rond te maken.

I have 15 years of experience as a professional musician with more than 40 recorded albums and concerts around the world. I have played many different musical styles and have a formal education: Bachelor in Jazz percussion at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, NL. My lessons focus on a complete basis (technique, "sound", tempo, vocabulary of the music) to be able to play different musical styles. Depending on the wishes of the student, however, the lesson may be more specific.

I studied in Cuba at the National Conservatory and now at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in classical percussion. I am qualified in conga, bongo, bata, xylophone, marimba, drums and more.
I also master improvisation, reading, deciphering, dancing, body awareness exercises. I have experience teaching with children, adolescents and adults.

I am a professional drummer, composer, and performer based in Brussels, with an active career in jazz, improvised, and creative music across Europe.
