In this course, I teach Dutch on a basis to intermediate level.
All ages are welcome, from children to adults! We focus on basis conversations and expressions that can help you navigate through everyday life in Flanders. The content of the class is adapted to the student's wishes and needs.

Hallo!
Ik ben Malou, afgestudeerd als japanologe aan de UGent in 2019. Sinds kort woon ik in Leuven, waar ik mijn tweede studie in muziek aan het afronden ben. Ondanks die nieuwe wending, is Japan een groot deel van mijn leven blijven uitmaken. Ik heb het geluk dagelijks Japans nog te spreken met de vriendin die ik hier gemaakt heb, en af en toe unieke avonturen mee te maken. Zo was ik als tolk mee naar de Olympische Spelen met het Belgische team en vertaalde ik voor Eiko Ishibashi op de World Soundtrack Awards.
Graag wil ik mijn plezier in het spreken van de taal met andere mensen delen.

Japanese language course - let's learn to speak, read and listen together!

Japanese is a beautiful language, but how do you get started? Reading, speaking, and writing each come with their own difficulties that are quite different from what we're accustomed to in European languages.

I'm more than happy to provide you with Japanese lessons tailored to what you want to learn.

I believe anyone looking to learn a new language should engage with it daily. That's why learning Japanese in Belgium can be tricky! For those who are interested, I offer extra practice sessions and tips throughout the week to help you master Japanese as quickly as possible. 一緒に頑張りましょう!

I am basically based on what the student is struggling with. We work on the part that seems to hinder her in her studies and then we see if the work bears fruit. Only the teacher can not give a perfect course if the pupil himself is not attentive. It must be give-and-donate for it to be effective.

For the primaries, I provide support in all subjects for the student to apply and fully understand in order to start on a good basis.
The course will be adapted according to the requests of each one, I will be listening and will point the priorities.
For the secondary, in languages therefore, it will be practice, which allows a use and especially an understanding of the specificities of the language. As a passionate and talented student, I know the roots and employs logical and mnemonic means that will remain in the minds.

Dutch is my mother tongue. At 20, I am a hyperpolyglot with a knowledge of 28 languages, 12 of which I speak with a level above B2. I spent two times on television (JT of the one and broadcast of what I mingle on RTL-TVI.
I give infallible language courses where I also reveal the secrets that ensured my success.

I give conversational lessons in Dutch, English, Spanish and Portuguese for different levels and different themes, both for professional use and free time. I support conversational lessons with vocabulary and extra grammar.

Foreign language courses at school are sometimes difficult for students to understand: no context, no interest, no desire to remember a long list of vocabulary or practical work.
Since always I teach with a different method, called "cool but effective"; learning a language must also be fun, and it changes with each personality!
I teach the student how to transform his long hours of study (and this happens especially with Dutch: p) into something more interesting for him, more entertaining.
In general I begin the course by the homework and school preparations to realize, and I finish with a part methodology / revisions. :)

I usually like to work with students, each one of them has a different nature and therefore a different way of working, which for me is the beauty of teaching :)
