About Me

Betina is a certified IVA instructor Level I, but also an experienced singer. Besides IVA she also studies musicology at the University of Performing Arts Graz (Austria).

Betina has performance background. For many years she participated and performed with choirs, in high school, she participated in a gospel / POP choir where she also performed as a soloist for several years.
The school offered her many opportunities for solo singing performances, several solo concerts, and she was happy to sing many accompaniments. only these opportunities continued at the Academy of Music and Arts in Graz, where she also sang solo and in choirs at many concerts.

Betina is part of a band whith which she reguraly performs as a front-woman.

She has been fascinated by the voice from a young age and has followed her passion for singing since. She teaches all genres, from jazz, pop, rock, gospel, classic and more.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.

My classes are different depending on your level and age.

With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs.

With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing.

For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing.

In our Oud class, I will guide you through everything from basic to advanced techniques. We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.
