--------------------------------------------------------- Piano lessons for children from age 4, teenagers and adults, at your home anywhere in Berlin, or online if you prefer. Lessons in English, Turkish or German. Clean technique is the foundation, but we play the music that actually pulls you to the instrument. I have been teaching for seven years and currently also teach at two Berlin music schools. A fixed weekly slot, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. A piano or a keyboard at home is enough to start. Travel and preparation time are included in the price.

Interactive piano lessons & music culture - Learning music as a language: Speak through the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Interactive piano lessons & music culture - Learning music as a language: Speak through the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

If you are one of these people, then you've come to the right place: * Beginners, children or adults * People with poor piano experience or “stuck” players * Parents who want their children to learn music like a language and develop focus and calmness in the process * Music lovers, musicians or fans of certain styles who want to play creatively themselves Then you've come to the right place. I have been a musician since childhood and play the piano. I have been working as a piano teacher for 5 years. I am also an architect and multidisciplinary artist, exploring the connection between sound and visual art. The lessons focus on piano practice, reading music and a better understanding of music – using methods such as Piano Adventures, Alfred and other modern textbooks. After about 5 months, many of my students see a clear difference in their playing, understanding, and self-confidence. ✨ Suitable for children, beginners and anyone who wants to learn piano in a modern and enjoyable way. For me, music is not a theory, but a language that one lives. Music should be learned and treated like a language. Listening, reading (music), writing and playing. The goal is for you to eventually "speak" music naturally, without thinking too much. Feel free to write to me if you want to know more about my teaching or how I teach music like a second language. Other programs (feel free to ask for details at any time – I'll send you all the information): • Program for musical culture and listening comprehension for children and adult artists • Program: Piano lessons and music reading for all age groups • Basic music theory program for beginners and musicians • Program “Sight-reading” (direct reading and playing of music) Karam Berlin, Friedrichshain

Guitar Lessons - all ages and ability levels welcome!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi everyone! My name is Curragh and I am a guitar teacher from the UK. Learning an instrument is hugely rewarding and a great investment, one that I believe is accessible to anyone. Perhaps you're intrigued by the guitar and want to give it a go... maybe you are a parent looking to relax for an hour and have fun or enrich your child’s development and give them a skill they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. I am a lifelong lover of music with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar from Leeds Conservatoire and a BTEC diploma with distinction in Music Practice. I have played in many different ensembles and have attended the Bath International Guitar Festival in the UK, on a scholarship. My teaching philosophy is that the ears are just as important to train as the hands and I integrate this into my lessons. It is also important to enjoy playing and feel excited by it, however, as this is the best motivator for students! It's how I learned after all... I am happy to teach absolute beginners through to advanced students, ages 7 and up. If you have a particular style of music you are interested in or some favorite songs you've always wanted to learn, we can cover them! If you are more advanced and want to bring your playing to the next level, I can coach you so you develop your unique 'voice' on the instrument and have a technique to burn.

Piano Lessons by Ear: Learn Your Favourite Songs & Jazz Improvisation from an Experienced PianistTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Have you always wanted to learn the piano or enhance your songwriting? Whether you’ve never sat down at a keyboard before or you're an experienced player looking for a bit of a push and some friendly accountability, I'm here to help. My lessons are relaxed, and shaped around the music you actually enjoy. We’ll figure out what you want to play and where you want to go musically, then build the practical skills and good habits to get you there. I’ll offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability while helping you become more confident and independent as a musician. Our first lesson is a chance to chat about your experience, interests, and goals. From there, we’ll create a plan that fits where you are now and helps you move toward the music you want to make. All ages and experience levels are welcome! Testimonials: "I've been studying with Dominic for a few years now, and my understanding of jazz harmony has grown massively over that time. He has a great way of adapting lessons to what I'm most curious about, always picking tunes and topics that keep me engaged. On top of that, he's incredibly patient, even when I show up completely unprepared. Lessons with him never feel like a chore, they feel like music." "With Dominic, I’ve really discovered my love for jazz and have gone from almost nothing to a solid level of improvisation. I’m enjoying it a lot!" "I started learning piano with Dominic as an absolute beginner and have not regretted it. Dominic is a very supportive and inspiring teacher! He takes the time to understand my process and interests, and then creatively guides my learning in a very personalised way. I always leave the piano classes with a joyful spring in my step. Dominic has helped me to unlock my creativity and I am really grateful for that!" "It's been such a pleasure to pick up piano at an older age with Dom. He's super knowledgeable, extremely patient, adapts lessons to your interests, encouraging and just really great to learn from. I would - and already do - recommend him to everyone." Developing understanding of concepts as they come up in the songs we work on together. Improvisation - Learn to improvise & play by ear Discover the joy of improvisation and unleash your creativity. Lessons will have an emphasis on learning and playing by ear and I'll share some tools and approaches for developing your own improvisational style. Rhythm - Cultivate a strong rhythmic foundation. I’m so lucky that I was able to have lessons with Jack during my time in Berlin! He creates such a supportive environment for learning — laid back and calm, yet totally professional. After years of me struggling independently with a few pieces, he was able to show me new ways of approaching the music that transformed even the hardest parts into something accessible. He has a lovely and genuine way of offering encouragement / recognizing progress, while still keeping track of the underlying objective; a more far-reaching arc of improvement. I like how he remembers this larger perspective from week to week (especially when I forget), and finds ways to expertly weave the end goal into incremental, manageable steps. I have learned so much from the tools and techniques he’s shared with me, and am grateful to have enjoyed his teaching.

Usha is a world-class violinist and violin teacher! I studied from a young age and through college at a relatively high level, but had to put it down for many years once I started working. Usha has helped me relearn the fundamentals with good habits and regain confidence as a performing artist. I love how creatively she tackles complex problems, and how her violin lessons--though focused on music and technique--seem to involve big life lessons as well. I look forward to continuing to study with Usha!

Sam is an amazing teacher, patient and open to the student's goals and suggestions. His approach is more technical than theoretical but will nonetheless get anyone willing to learn up to speed on the basics into more advanced notions. He assessed what I was already able to do on the guitar to fill the gaps and help me progress into further fields. So far he's taught me the electric guitar, a bit of bass and piano and I'm very happy about all of it.
