Let's explore together the music of the baroque era! Get to know the violin and the viola in their baroque setting- experiment with features such as gut strings and historical bows. The lessons are adapted to your wishes and needs: a beginner will have different goals than an experienced player. There is wealth of material for all levels and interests, let's find out together what's the best for you! The core of the lesson is always the expression of music! We will work through building technique, grasping theoretical knowledge, and learning about the historical context. And if all that sounds a bit serious, let's not forget that the best way to learning is playfulness and a will to experiment!

I am Carlos (08/02/1992), professional violinist and violin and viola teacher. I started playing the violin when I was 15 years old. This means I can still clearly remember the methods and techniques I used to learn how to play the violin. I will certainly take these experiences with me into my teaching position. These insights allow me to teach each student according to his/her desires and needs. My passion for teaching started when my father and nephew wanted to learn to play the violin. Since then I have continued to teach many students because I get energy and inspiration from my students. In recent years I have taught many different students and because of this I have gained a lot of experience in using different methodologies. Teaching is a big responsibility. My priority is to let the student have fun while learning and to stimulate musicality/creativity. Every student is different and has different interests, therefore every student will be taught in a different way and with a different method. The styles I teach can vary from classical to jazz, pop, etc. I have taught students of different levels both in Spain and in the Netherlands: beginners, amateurs, advanced. So I teach students who are preparing for the conservatory, but also the very first beginners. Because I am from Spain, I can teach in Spanish, English and Dutch.
