6 year experienced IGCSE & A-level Physics teacher delivering excellent pedagogy and examination results in the UK and in a top international school in Asia. My students perform far above global averages for the top grades (Edexcel, 29% vs 70% A-A*). I am proud to be an excellent teacher that has helped shepherd over a dozen young physicists to world top world universities for engineering, astrophysics and theoretical physics at UC Berkeley, University of Toronto, MIT and others. Let's lock in and ace physics IGCSE, A-level or IB together! More About me: - I have 6 years of International School IGCSE/A-level physics teaching experience - Taught in the UK and a top international schools in Asia and have UK Qualified Teacher status and a UK PGCE. -I am an expert in the Pearson Edexcel International and CIE A-level and Physics and IGCSE curricula. -I have also mentored top students in advanced Particle & Nuclear Physics research, winning international competitions (CERN BL4S). -I have also studied at a top British International school in Asia myself, earning A*A*A* in Physics, Mathematics and Geography, and a 1st Class Honours degree in a BSc Physics and Philosophy program from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. -I have particular experience implementing and programming my own Artificial Intelligence tools for students, including my own physics exam revision app. -I also have particular experience and talent working with Highly Gifted and Special Educational Needs students with ADHD/ASD.

My name is Lil, I'm an engineering student at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), currently on an academic exchange at KTH in Stockholm. I have a 5/6 average at EPFL (top 10% of my class) and obtained a baccalaureate with 17/20. I have significant teaching experience: I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor at EPFL in three different subjects (structural mechanics, computer science, and algorithms), where I regularly supported first-year students with their exercises and their overall understanding of the course concepts. This experience taught me to adapt my explanations to each student, to communicate very clearly, to be organized and reliable, and to create a reassuring and effective learning environment. Before that, I had already tutored middle school students in physics when I was in high school, which instilled in me a love of teaching from a very young age. My teaching method My priority isn't to have students memorize formulas, but to make concepts logical and intuitive. I always adapt to the student's level to pinpoint exactly where they're struggling, then work with them to rebuild a clear line of reasoning. The goal is for the student to become independent and gain confidence. I use simple explanations with concrete examples, diagrams, and visualizations, as well as progressive exercises to solidify understanding, and a genuine method for working and organizing. I also offer additional exercises and methodological advice so that the student can then work independently. My specific characteristics My experience as a teaching assistant at EPFL taught me to explain complex concepts in a very accessible way. I can quickly identify misunderstandings and suggest an alternative approach to the problem. I also emphasize methodology and intuition, which are often key to success in math and science. I offer support in: mathematics, physics, life and earth sciences (1st year), advanced mathematics. For primary, middle and high school levels. Courses can be held in person in Stockholm or via video conference.
