My name is Mariia and I am a professional singer with a master's degree from the Kharkiv National I.-P.-Kotlyarevskyi University of Arts (Ukraine) specializing in solo singing, chamber singing and music education. I also completed a bachelor's degree in cultural studies at the National V. N. Karasin University of Kharkiv (Ukraine) because I was interested in art in all its forms since childhood and in my future professional life I will combine music and other areas of art wanted. I am now active in concert and festival life, sing in the choir of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Vienna and develop in other musical genres such as pop, musicals and rock. As a singing teacher, I have 4 years of experience teaching children, young people and adults. I teach according to the old Italian Belcanto method, which tries to develop the greatest possible beauty of the voice in a natural way. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run.
