Singer, songwriter, and vocal coach with over 10 years of experience in jazz and contemporary music genres such as pop, soul, RnB, and rock. I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under David Linx and the Conservatory S.Cecilia of Rome under Maria Pia de Vito, specializing in jazz singing. Currently, I teach jazz singing at the Watermael-Boitsfort Academy in Brussels, having previously instructed ensemble singing at the academies of Marchienne-au-Pont and Evere. Additionally, I hold a Master's in music pedagogy and certification in Estill Vocal Training, a globally recognized voice method which I regularly incorporate into my teachings. FORMATION ACADÉMIQUE:

Flavio est né à Rome en 1992. Il est chanteur, compositeur, arrangeur et bandleader.
Il est diplômé en chant jazz avec les honneurs du Conservatoire S. Cecilia de Rome (2013) et le Koninklijk Conservatoire de Bruxelles (2019). Il est aussi un EMT (Estill Master Trainer).
Au fil des ans, il a l’occasion d’étudier et de collaborer avec de grands professeurs et interprètes tels que Maria Pia de Vito, David Linx, Judy Niemack, Diederik Wissels, Javier Girotto, Paolo Damiani. Il a en outre gagné une bourse Erasmus pour étudier une année académique au Jazz Institut de Berlin.
En plus de son Master en chant jazz, il a suivi des Masterclasses et des workshops partout en Europe.

The course is intended for anyone seriously interested in the functioning of the voice and its application in singing (support, power, vocal stability, timbre, etc.).

Inspired by the EVT (Estill Voice Training) method, a system that explains how the voice works and uses it to rehabilitate vocal disorders, strengthen public speakers and support high-level performers, my goal is to make the student more aware of their vocal instrument and more comfortable in their sound emission and singing.

We will begin by exploring the source of sound: our body. We will cover breathing and warm-up exercises, and focus on various sound emission techniques to improve voice quality and control.

My name is Carmen and I am an opera singer. I studied at the PI Chaykovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I attended many masterclasses in Russia, Italy and Austria with Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. I was also a soloist in the Vatican Choir.

I'm a Dutch drummer based in Brussels since 2015 and I have been teaching drums since 12 years.
From September 2023 I will be teaching at the Conservatory of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

I am Thijs (30) an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatory in Ghent. In addition, I have followed masterclasses and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups.

My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole. These building blocks together with the student's interests form the curriculum, so that it meets the student's wishes as best as possible. I also teach music theory/music theory. Some aspects of this are also offered during drum lessons.

I have different study books we can use depending on the level, Wastall, Klose, Voxman, classic duets, jazz duets, Rubank, Horen, Lezen & Spelen, etc.... Plus I can write for you the songs you want to learn.If you have specific needs of topics to learn I will adapt the lesson and material to it. If what you want is to start or develop further in jazz music and/or improvisation, I’m definitely ready to help you!

Beginners:
Start finding the sound of the instrument, where the notes are within all those keys, begin with learning how to read music if you don’t read yet, and find easy and fun songs to play to enjoy the instrument already. I can introduce you to the understanding of basic harmony and theory concepts to help understand better inside music that you are playing.

Intermediate:
We can get to improve the technique of the instrument, reading skills, get more precision, speed, sound and timing and musical expression. Advance the understanding of harmony, its beauty and its possibilities. If you like to work on improvisation we can get to discover how to enjoy improvising with all the technical tools you already learned in the past and enhance that material according to your taste. If you want to start with playing jazz music I can introduce you to first steps and nice and technically comfortable songs to begin with.

Advanced:
At an advanced level it’s very important to understand the direction you want to take and what you especially want to improve. However I can help you perfectionate sound and timing, rhythm, vibrato, etc..., work on the accuracy of the reading and at the same time make it sound musical and human. On jazz music and/or improvisation, expand the vocabulary for improvising, the knowledge of harmony, what you can do with the material you know from different perspectives, increase precision and sense of direction when phrasing lines, learn more jazz standards, help on original compositions. And of course share all the better understanding of jazz music I learned during my years in New York City.

I focus on giving saxophone lessons to people with a solid or basic foundation who wants to improve or start improvising. This course is especially for those who feel stagnant in improving their music skills. I will actively analyse your areas for improvement and provide personal guidance and methods. I am very aware that each person thinks differently while improvising: personal exercises are given, depending on your needs.

Applied music theory lessons are a support of this class. I integrate chord theory into practical saxophone lessons, making a key connection between ear and theory.

I started playing classical saxophone, and I am currently a Jazz saxophone student at the conservatory of Brussels. Switching to Jazz made me analyse my own behaviour in improvising, which I find a crucial step in development.
