Singing is a practice that restores us from daily stress, a way for social and affective connection, and in this lessons we practice from an intersectional gender perspective, so that everyone can feel safe, welcome and seen. Our lessons can be face-to-face or on a video call. Both formats have their pros and cons, so I invite you to try both and even combine them through the weeks!

Hi! I'm Ramona 🌈 a professional singer specialised in extended vocal techniques, improvisation, jazz and electronic music.
★ My mission is to guide you to connect with your unique sound, authentic musicality and passion.

I have worked as a singer in Jazz and Popular Music scenes, as a session singer and voice teacher for 10+ years. My Bachelor of Arts, Diploma in Cultural Management and Vocal Performance contribute to my ability to formulate and execute artistic and educational projects that generate a significant impact on the people and environments involved.‍ I’ve traveled and studied with voice, music, theatre and dance teachers in Chile (my country of origin), Argentina, New York, Vermont (USA) and Melbourne (AU). I have had the honor of receiving knowledge, methods and traditions from Sheila Jordan, Yumi Umiumare, Cyrille Aimee, Jamie Leonhart, Dominique Eade, Pantheatre, Annie Murath, Arlette Jequier, Claudio Rubio, Nicolás Vera and many more.

Musical language classes (Harmony, Literacy, Rhythm, Auditory Training) for school reinforcement or self-interest. Classes will focus on each student's preferred areas of musical language, and practical exercises will be continuously performed on the student's instrument.

Additionally, Music Composition classes are offered, in genres such as classical music, jazz and music for audiovisuals and computer-assisted music.

Developing good vocal technique involves a correct understanding of breath and diaphragmatic and abdominal supports. Individual lessons allow for personalized and in-depth work on the different aspects of singing: repertoire, technique, knowing how to project the voice flexibly. I also have training as a music therapist for a more therapeutic approach to the voice.

I am a professional singer, I studied in different countries: University of the Arts of Bern, Gitis -Russian Academy of Theater Arts-, at the Liceu Conservatory. I work with different theaters and operas in Spain and Switzerland.

I am a full time session musician who has worked with Paloma Faith, Kwabs, Hollie Cook, Gentleman's Dub Club, Natty, They Say Jump, Benny Page, The Dualers.

I have 12 years teaching experience and 16 years performance experience.

I have performed all over the UK and across the world including in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Egypt, Oman, Dubai, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Morocco, Mexico, Nicaragua, Thailand and the Philippines.

I have performed for the Queen, Prince William and Kate, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Graham Norton, Gary Barlow, Michael McIntyre, Sir Bob Geldof as well as many other celebrities.

I would like to teach people who are keen, enthusiastic and who are willing to practise and put in the time to achieve their goals.

Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style.

Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more.

From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano.

I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. I also teach classical piano for those interested, and offer specific training in rhythm and percussion.
