I am Violetta, a professional violinist living in Antwerp. I studied at Moscow conservatory college for pedagogical degree, and got my bachelor and master’s degrees at the royal conservatory of Mons (Belgium).

I have several years of experience teaching children and adults in individual and group lessons. I adapt the content of the lessons to the level, needs, and goals of each student.

About Me

laureate of international competitions (Noche en Madrid, Beethoven competition in Moscow, Premio Zinetti), has large and various repertoire as a soloist, chamber musician (piano duo,rio, string quartet), member of symphony orchestras and baroque ensembles.took part in concerts, festivals (‘Le Printemps du violon’ in Paris, ‘Noche en Madrid’, ‘San Martino a Natale’ in Venice, and many others) and masterclasses in Russia, Belgium, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, Slovakia, the Netherlands and Bulgaria, and performed in famous venues such as Great hall of Moscow Conservatory, Bolshoi Theatre, Bozar, Concertgebouw in Brugge, Falegy, Queen Elisabeth hall, Arsenale hall in Venice.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student.

My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

As a Bachelor 3 student in classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, experienced in playing in different bands, writing, and performing music, I can offer my knowledge from various styles of guitar playing and music theory.

Cello Lessons for all levels:
My main goal with my teaching is to share my passion for music with my students. I believe strongly that this passion leads to discipline and curiosity which benefit all other aspects of one's life. Whether or not my students decide to pursue music as their main profession, I believe they have much to gain from learning the cello. Besides the discipline one learns, Music-making in itself is fulfilling!! :)

Conservatory Preparation:
In my experience as a musician living and working in Belgium for the past 9 years, I have noticed a gap in the musical education of young Belgian music students transitioning from Music academies into Conservatories. Oftentimes, these young music students seeking to enter conservatories do not possess the necessary skill level to enter higher education in Music. Through my private teaching, I intend to bridge this gap by catering specifically (though not exclusively) to these students. I strongly believe that there is a huge demand for this type of teaching which I am capable of providing.

I also attended workshops with Jef Neve, Kenny Werner, Bram Vermeulen, Amina Figarova, among others... In addition to fifteen years of private piano lessons (children & adults), I supervise songwriting workshops for adults & young people (Summer Academy, Zennetour finalists...) and gave I have been teaching piano for many years at the youth music school of the Halewijnstichting (Berchem).
My friends think I'm a creative jack-of-all-trades. I like to do many things: making music, writing songs, making theater, composing music & soundscapes for theater, playing piano in different bands, writing, drawing, illustrating, singing... Many styles also appeal to me in the field of music: Classical, jazz, chansons, pop, ...

I am a graduate of the Antwerp Conservatory of Music and have been playing the cello for 20 years. Despite my young age, since 2012, after winning many auditions, I have played in orchestral projects in 18 European countries. I regularly participated in music courses and workshops.
Currently, I work as a freelancer and am an active concert musician and private teacher.
From my own experience, I know how important it is to practise sensibly and effectively at home, which is why I am happy to help young cello students who cannot count on the help of their parents, who are musicians, in this regard.
