About Me

Education

I began playing the trumpet at the age of 11, thanks to a school program. Two years later, I embarked on my classical trumpet studies at the Campobasso Conservatory in Italy. Subsequently, I moved to Siena, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Jazz Trumpet from the Siena Jazz University. Following that, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in Jazz Trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, which I completed in 2023.

Experience / Qualifications

My musical experience spans various contexts within the jazz scene, from small ensembles to big bands, and from jazz clubs to large festivals, extending to street music. This has provided me with the opportunity to engage with hundreds of fellow professional musicians, allowing me to accumulate a wide and practical knowledge that I would like to share with those who are interested.

I am a professional musician who finished his masters studies in 2020 in Codarts, Rotterdam. Lessons are intended for all levels, I can adapt my teaching to the student needs. My career is basically classical, but I am open to different styles so if you are interested on (for example) pop, jazz or rock we can just focus on what do you want to learn in order to make Theory become more practical.

With music, we learn much more than just playing pieces. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more.
I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know.

What can i offer?
Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music.
Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish
Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello.

How do I work?
Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you.
For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing.
For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument.

Extra activities:
Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. It's very necessary to play with people and not get stuck in our own individual studies!

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.

Guitar is a very versatile instrument, used in many different genres, including classical music. For me, my journey with it started somewhere in my early childhood, primarily with listening to my mum's playing of folk songs. What amazed me is the power that music has to make people come together and communicate. So at 10, I formally started my individual relationship with the instrument, studying classical guitar, which has given me some of the greatest pleasures in this life, and I hope it will be my source of joy until my dying day. Currently, I am studying Makam music at the Global Music Department of Codarts, Rotterdam. We can work on a variety of different genres from jazz to pop to latin, which ever the student is keen on learning about. To improve music composition and piano skills, rather than lessons that are overly theoretical, broad, and generic, what is needed are practical and applicable lessons that focus on the essential key points and tips that actually improve ability, and that teach how to do it in practice.
Tutor should respect the student’s autonomy and opinions, tailor the class to the student’s individuality and preferences, and show patience with the student’s pace of development. Based on these principles, I will teach diligently.
