Trusted teacher: *** THE COURSE: This course is designed for adults (18+) who want to learn Dutch in a structured and motivating way. We’ll use the textbook "Nederlands in Gang", a complete method that takes you up to level A2 (and beyond, see below!). It’s a very comprehensive program, which makes guided lessons with an experienced teacher the perfect way to follow it. *** YOUR TEACHER... CHRISTIAAN: My name is Christiaan, and I’m a Dutch teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching at an international school. I was born in the Netherlands and speak both Dutch and English fluently. Besides teaching languages, I’m also a piano teacher and I am writing a Dutch children’s book. People often say that those from Haarlem speak the clearest Dutch — so you’ll be in expert hands! *** YOUR CURRENT ABILITY: If you already have some knowledge of Dutch, we can continue with the next books in the same series (Nederlands in Actie, Nederlands op Niveau, Nederlands naar Perfectie). The method includes self-checks and progress tests so you can clearly track your improvement. *** THE LESSONS: Lessons are held online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. If you live near Haarlem, you’re welcome to join in person. Weekly participation is essential. Learning a language takes dedication, but with consistent effort, you’ll be amazed at your progress. Whether you can study 15 minutes a day or an hour, we’ll find a rhythm that fits your schedule! Ready to start your Dutch journey? Let’s begin!

Trusted teacher: Hello there! My name is Antek and i'm a cellist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices. I can also help you prepare for conservatory entrance exams by providing Solfege, Ear-training and General Music Theory lessons. As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. I'm experienced in writing both instrumental and electronic music, as well as performance art, live electronics and multidisciplinary projects. I have also collaborated with institutions like National Polish Radio or CelloWercken Festival Zutphen. I hope to hear back from you soon and I'm looking forward to start working on your musical journey! Peace and Love Antek

Violin and Viola lessons 🎻 with a professional teacher for all ages and levels (Amsterdam)
Fermin

I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.

I had a great first lesson with Mariela. What I found most important: - Mariela ensures you're comfortable. Her kindness and calm confidence work wonders for a self-conscious and nervous person like me. - Explanations! Everything is clearly explained, so you always know why you're doing something and how to do it correctly. - I loved the flexible approach: if you know exactly what you want, she'll help you achieve it, but if you're completely lost, she's ready to guide you, offer different options, and give you advice. No pressure, but lots of support. - I feel like Mariela has many different teaching strategies for various personalities and goals, which is awesome. Plus, she has a lot of cool vocal tricks up her sleeve! - It's obvious that Mariela loves both music and teaching, which is so inspiring. Overall, I had a very fun and productive experience and will definitely continue studying with Mariela!

Hota is a wonderful person to know, and a great teacher. She has gone above and beyond our expectations and she is always on point in helping me and my husband with understanding the Japanese culture, the people, the language, the places, the lifestyle…. She’s even come to our hotel to teach us, even in the cold snowy day.. she’s really awesome and a lovely person to know. It’s also nice to make a new friend and teacher in Japan.. Thank you so much Hota!
