My name is Christina, I am a piano teacher with a degree from the conservatory specializing in classical piano, as well as a master's degree in music pedagogy. I have been teaching piano for over 15 years and have trained more than a hundred students of all ages and levels. Passionate about music and its teaching, as both a piano teacher and music education teacher in college, my professional experience extends to different countries. I have also had the opportunity to participate in various cultural events, as a solo pianist and accompanist for opera singers. I therefore offer piano lessons at your home throughout the right bank of Geneva, up to Nyon. My lessons are for children, teenagers, and adults of all levels, whether for simple recreation or for advanced training. I also offer specialized services such as four-hand piano, wellness piano (for behavioral issues such as hyperactivity, stress, stage fright, etc.), preparation for conservatory competitions and exams, and musical awakening for toddlers. I am here to support you in your own musical journey or that of your child, whether you wish to begin, continue, or resume playing the piano. My lessons are relaxed and take place in a friendly and joyful atmosphere, focused on the love of music. I offer high-quality instruction based on enjoyment and personal growth, without neglecting the essential technical aspects necessary for progress. I hold two Master's degrees from the Geneva University of Music (Pedagogy and Performance): one in Music Pedagogy and the other in Performance with a focus on Concert. I have received Swiss awards (AGFDU, Baume et Mercier, Ethique & Valeurs, Engelberts, Leenaards) and Canadian awards (Public Peace Prize). My Piano Mondo concept is a direct continuation of all these commitments: placing the individual at the heart of teaching, allowing everyone to bring their own story...and setting it to music! I can also provide support lessons for external piano exams as part of competitions, for exams in other music schools or for the music option of specific school curricula. Hello! I'm an award-winning Canadian classical pianist and experienced teacher offering piano lessons for all levels, beginner to advanced. I have performed with orchestra and has a soloist in various festivals across Canada, Germany, Austria, Spain and Switzerland, in addition to being a prize winner in numerous competitions, as well as the recipient of numerous grants and awards. Having over 15 years of experience as a teacher (including my own private studio and a teaching assistant at the University of Montreal), I am very dedicated to my students of each person. My doctoral researches pertains to the neuropsychology of learning music (specifically, exploring the most efficient ways to learn a skill), thus I am thoroughly equipped to provide all sorts of tips and tricks from my research and personal experiences :) This cornerstone of my teaching makes it easier to meet the needs of the highest caliber (utilizing interdisciplinary knowledge of psychology, physiology, biomechanics and physics), integrating all aspects of music making into a holistic, innovative and fun approach to learning! Pianist student at the HEM in Geneva offers piano lessons as well as music theory! Basic elementary and intermediate level I also propose a part to speak about the musical appreciation of all the periods of the history of the music. For all ages! These will be lessons to work on the piano (beginners and intermediate) while we talk about music theory (harmony, music theory, analysis, etc.) and also a time to listen to recordings and talk about musical appreciation. Besides classical education, I also work with jazz pieces and pop music. It's an hour to have fun, learn and discover. I have over five years of experience teaching piano and music theory, with children, youth and adults. I can move to the student's home (Lausanne and Canton of Vaud) and I am flexible with weekly schedules. I adapt to each student and situation! Classes can be given in French, Spanish or English.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
