Hi there! My name's Sam and I have been playing the piano for more than 13 years and will begin my bachelors in Classical Piano Performance next year. I am offering piano lessons in English in the Brussels area for students of any age, from absolute beginner to intermediate. Lessons will be adapted to fit the student's prefence of repertoire (classical, pop, jazz) and personal goals with the instrument. About Me

I promise a fun, friendly and open teaching environment. Pieces that we work on can be anything the student brings and loves, or I can suggest pieces that will be beneficial. While work outside the lesson is necessary for any student to progress, I find it important for the student to be open about their goals so I can help them see a roadmap of future progress.

Being highly skilled in sight-reading, I have often realized how valuable and enjoyable it is to possess that “gift.” After more than ten years of teaching students of different levels and aspirations, I have observed a common thread: regardless of their goals, all were eager to improve their ability to read and interpret new, unfamiliar music.

Currently, I am developing a multifaceted approach designed to help students understand a composition at first sight. This method combines specific pattern recognition and structural score-mapping, anchored in a fundamental understanding of rhythm, pitch, and harmony, together with highly effective practice and memorization strategies personalized to each student's needs and technical challenges.

For over ten years, I have been teaching students of all ages and levels. In addition to regular lessons, I offer the opportunities to perform at the yearly class concert as well as dedicated preparation for ABRSM piano examinations.

I'm a pianist with extensive performing experience on international stages and a first-prize winner of more than 30 international piano competitions across Europe and USA. I hold a Master's degree and four Postgraduate degrees (piano and chamber music) from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

I offer piano lessons for beginners or experienced pianists (intermediate-advanced level)
Together we will address all facets of piano playing: touch, rhythmic accuracy, musicality, harmony... giving an important place to harmonic listening. We will study pieces from the classical repertoire, but also jazz, song, folk, pop.... We will work on the independence of both hands by taking crossroads such as clapping or improvisation: guaranteed pleasure ;)
Lessons can take place at my home or at the student's home, as long as the student lives in a place easily accessible by transport... A session lasts 50 to 55 minutes
