Hello, I’m Ülkü, a professional musician and educator based in Rotterdam. With a background in opera, piano, and trombone, I have dedicated my career to both performance and teaching. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Bilkent University, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (Opera-Singing), and a Master’s degree from Başkent University State Conservatory, where my thesis, Orientalism in The Opera of W.A. Mozart’s Abduction From The Seraglio, was published in both Turkish and English by Paradigma Akademi.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ages and levels, teaching choir, music theory, Orff, piano, and voice at Bilkent University’s Early Music Education and Adult Programs. In addition to my teaching experience, I am the producer of The Horai Podcast, where I explore various aspects of music and culture. My approach to teaching is highly personalized, focusing on technical development, musicality, and the joy of making music.
I offer personalized piano lessons for students of all ages and levels. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to advance your skills, my lessons are designed to meet your individual goals and musical preferences.

Do you want to have fun learning how to play the most beautiful instrument in the world or improve your skills with it? I'd be delighted to do it with you! I'm a classical clarinetist, I have two masters (recently graduated at Codarts) and different experience in orchestra, chamber music and teaching! My goal as a teacher is to stimulate the student to study in order to be at the disposal of music and not a passive player as can happen many times when you undertake a new study. That is why I like to play with my students and organize little private concerts and try-out.
Concerning the music theory lessons, I am not going to bore you with long and incomprehensible explanations! We will study it in a fun and effective way! Hello everyone, my name is Bardia an experienced and enthusiastic violin teacher in Rotterdam.

With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CDs/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I've come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts.

I've been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I'm 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department.

I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won't waste your time!
