My name is Pedro and I've been tutoring students for the last 3 years.

I have a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering and I am currently studying for a MSc in Cyber Security at EPFL & ETH Zurich.

I love to learn and help others.
For instance, one of the ways I prepared for the Math National Exam was actually by being a tutor to friends who were having many doubts.

I would say my way of explaining is a bit different: I always try to keep people engaged and I don't stop until all the doubts are cleared!

To explain something, I do it in a simple and intuitive way, and I like to come up with funny ways for people to understand the material.

I also create a lot of drawings and figures to make it easier to understand!

I take notes in a writing application and share them at the end of each class.

The problem with science is often abstraction. Some subjects are difficult because we do not make the connection between them and what is really going on or what it will be used for. My goal is to explain to you the "why" by detailing examples to understand the theory. Whether in mathematics, physics, analysis, algebra, probability; I will explain to you, finding suitable examples, what blocks and make sure that you really understand by pushing the exercises a little further afterwards. We will also review the theory, sometimes difficult, but so important for learning the rigor of mathematics.

This course is intended for people who want tutoring or special help in order to prepare for the matriculation exams, or even those at university. I teach all school math subjects, as well as college-level analysis and algebra.

If you need support in your lessons or your school exams I would be happy to prepare you and allow you to improve quickly. I can also allow you to get ahead of your program and learn mathematical concepts at university level (up to the second year of engineering school).

My experience with university and college students allows me to easily adapt my pedagogy to all levels in order to get the best out of it.

This course is aimed at university students, in the field of mathematics. This course is also suitable for students at EPFL as well as students of mathematics and physics), but also for faculties of economics (except economic mathematics), or medicine for example.
The goal is simple: to help you understand by yourself and acquire an intuition of the desired mathematical concepts, as well as the resolution of the exercises.

The courses cover a number of subjects. The student chooses the desired branch (the choices are listed below (*).

The course can be given face-to-face in the Lausanne region (preferably Renens / Ecublens) or Geneva (preferably center) depending on my travel availability (this is to be agreed by message with me directly, this option only appears by default in my schedules available below). Otherwise, the course is generally given by Zoom with screen sharing where I generally write by hand).
The notes during the course are sent to the student after the course is completed in PDF format.

I am a 4th year student at EPFL in Microtechnology. I come from the French system and therefore had my scientific baccalaureate with honors. Having spent a large part of my childhood in the United States, I am bilingual in English and can give lessons in the preferred language.

During my 4 years at EPFL I had an average of 5.3 in Mathematics courses, and was an assistant hired by professors several times, notably during first year courses. I can therefore teach in a varied area of mathematics and can cover the entire gymnasium program.

I can travel by public transport to your home or favorite meeting place, or remotely via zoom.

Student at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), I am currently in BA5 - third year of Bachelor - at the IC (computer science) faculty.

I have been providing private lessons since 2018 in mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences.

Holder of a Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences since the summer of 2021, I completed 3 months of internship in a hospital environment in the psychiatric sector and fundamental research in neuroscience. I was also passed (admitted to the competition but the quota places granted limited my entry into medical school) after having completed a national competition which was both selective and elitist to enter a medical school: the first common year to health studies. Very difficult in maths, physics, organic chemistry and biology.

I was subsequently very involved in collaborative and associative projects to train students for the medical competition, in the first year. I love teaching, making people understand and seeing this moment of light on the face of the student for whom everything becomes clearer!

I have also been giving private lessons in mathematics and physics for 8th grade students at the gymnasium or in preparation for their maturity for 6 years. Many of my students have an ADHD profile, and I always enjoy adapting to the needs of each person, maintaining DYNAMICS in the course and doing interactive exercises so that the knowledge sinks in better. ..

Dynamic, I am myself a studious and serious student. I have gone through the challenges and stress of exams and competitions many times. My goal is to give you confidence and provide you with the appropriate method to succeed in your course.
