O meu nome é Rodrigo e sou licenciado em Engenharia Biomédica pelo Instituto Superior Técnico, onde concluí com uma nota de 18. Encontro-me neste momento a escrever a minha tese de mestrado, com o objetivo de concluir o mestrado em Neuroengineering da TUM (Technical University of Munich). Possuo mais de 3 anos de experiência a dar aulas particulares de matemática e físico-química a alunos do ensino secundário e básico. Tento que as minhas aulas sejam interessantes e relaxantes, mantendo sempre o aluno à vontade. Acredito que criar uma relação de amizade com o aluno ajuda-o a interessar-se mais pelos tópicos e a sentir-se mais motivado a melhorar o seu desempenho académico. As aulas podem ser ministradas de forma presencial ou virtual, individualmente ou em grupo. Cada aula tem duração mínima de uma hora, porém estou aberto a aulas mais longas, se necessário. Uma aula customa ser dividida em três partes: a 1a fase começa com um resumo da matéria que foi dada desde a última aula e que dúvidas possui sobre os tópicos antigos e novos; a 2a fase consiste num acompanhamento na realização de vários exercícios personalizados, maioritariamente nas zonas em que o aluno se sente menos confortável; a 3a fase consiste na correção dos exercícios e na decisão de trabalhos de casa para serem realizados até à aula seguinte. As aulas poderão ser adaptadas a vários objetivos, como melhorar a nota na disciplina, obter uma excelente nota ou até mesmo preparar-se para competições de Matemática.

I teach hip-hop dance with a strong focus on foundations, grooves, musicality, coordination, and freestyle. Rather than only learning choreography and copying movements, my goal is to help students understand how their body moves, develop strong fundamentals, and eventually find their own individual style. Classes usually begin with a warm-up followed by foundation and groove training. We spend time drilling movements to build muscle memory, rhythm, coordination, and confidence. I know the struggle of learning a language later in life. When I was around 14, a friend of mine introduced me to reggaeton. I quickly fell in love with the genre and...the more music I listened to, the more I wanted to understand. 6 years, great friendships and a crazy year traveling solo around Latin America later, I've managed to reach an advanced level in Spanish (about C1) and am now settling down in Alicante, wishing to help others like me go from just listening to actually connecting with others. Who these lessons are best for: I initially started teaching friends during my time at the University of Leeds (studying biology!) and this eventually changed to people I met during my travels, often tourists or nomads from America and Europe that had recently moved. Given this background, I have experience teaching adults, but I am open to adapting the teaching - in terms of vocabulary and context - for any age group. I teach right from beginner and get you up to B2 (A1 --> B2). Lessons will focus on listening and speaking, with vocabulary and verb tense sheets made for you to repeat and work on memorization and spelling after class. Hence, I'd recommend this more for people who wish to communicate naturally as they travel, socialize or work rather than those looking for passive lectures training reading and writing alone. I only ask you to be genuine about learning and to try to fight that urge to switch to English the moment it gets hard - I'm here to help you. Lesson Structure: Our first session will be somewhat slower-paced as I wish to take the time to get to know you, pinpoint whereabouts you are in terms of both comprehension and expression, and learn of your goals. If there is any particular context in which you aim to use Spanish, I want to adapt my lessons to that. We can get into practicing as soon after and as much as you feel comfortable. Subsequent lessons will be largely conversation and practice-based. Please don't worry if you know only a few words coming in! I believe in building confidence in speaking from day one as this tends to be what lags most behind and what takes the longest to develop and I want to help you do just that. I will be providing prompts and real-life scenarios and letting the conversation flow from there for speaking and using comprehensible input (a technique that teaches you unfamiliar terms through familiar contexts) for listening. I will help you fill any missing vocab or uncertainty in as you go along, where appropriate. I will provide opportunities for active recall to help you retain these pointers. Plan/structura de las lecciones: Nuestra primera lección tendrá un ritmo más suave ya que quiero tomar el tiempo para conocerte, averiguar por dónde estás en términos de hablar, escuchar y leer, y comprender tus objetivos aquí. Si hay una razón en particular por la cual quieres aprender el español, quiero conocerla para adapter mis lecciones a esta. Hablaremos en español tanto como puedas desde el primero día, adaptando el porcentaje según te sientas cómodo. Creo mucho en que hay que ir ganando confianza hablando desde el día nr.1 ya que este aspecto suele quedarse atrás y toma la mayor cantidad de tiempo para desarrollar y quiero mucho ayudarte hacer exactamente esto. -- Compartiré temas para conversar y escenarios de la vida real y dejar que la conversación fluya desde allá (cuando se trata de hablar) y usar 'comprehensible input' (una técnica que te enseña palabras desconocidas por medio de un contexto conocido) cuando se trata de escuchar. -- Te ayudaré a llenar cualquier vacío de vocabulario y responder a dudas con la gramático cuando sea adecuado. -- Incluiré pruebas y actividades de recuerdo activo para ayudarte a retener los puntos clave. -- Tomaré notas de estas a medida que avancemos para entregarte una ficha completa con vocabulario, tiempos verbales, usos y ejemplos de verbos compuestos, jerga y notas de gramática antes del final del día siguiente.
