About Me

Hello! I absolutely love teaching and sharing my passion for music. I'm a patient and kind teacher, always happy to help.

You won’t need any prior experience with me: I’d be really happy to introduce you to the piano (and music theory if you'd like) from scratch.

I'm comfortable teaching most piano styles, so I can guide you effectively no matter your goals or interests—Classical, Jazz, Accompaniment, Pop, Rock, Improvisation, and more.

Education

I studied Composition at the Conservatory of Mons and Art History/Musicology at UCLouvain. I'm currently a Biology student at ULB since this year, because why not? ;)

I graduated from the Conservatoire de Nice CNRR (France) in jazz guitar.
I studied there for seven years with renowned professors such as Jean Paul Ceccarelli (Sting), Pierre Bertrand, Robert Persi or Philippe Petit.
My teaching method is flexible and I adapt it to the needs and desires of the student.
We will discuss the technical work on the instrument, the knowledge of the neck and chords and the rhythm. With or without solfege.

My name is Juliette, a young professional violinist who obtained my master's degree at the Brussels Conservatory in 2018 in the class of Shirly Laub. With my experience, I offer violin and music theory lessons. Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, more than 100 students.
I am a graduate of Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, in baroque cello and harpsichord, but I play also modern cello, organ, and piano.
