About Me
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Persevering, serious, applied and pedagogue, I want to make teaching my profession.Young student in literary preparatory class at Lycée du Parc in Lyon (third year), I come from Bourgoin-Jallieu. I was ineligible for the ENS (École normale supérieure) competition in Lyon last year. I am passionate about French literature above all, but I also love history, geography, dead languages, philosophy and modern languages (practice of Spanish and English). In addition, I love music. I practiced during 14 years in conservatory (10 years of solfège, 10 years of piano and 12 years of singing). I obtained my certificates in high school in music theory and piano.
Teaching is a passion for me: I would like to make it my profession. The transmission of knowledge is something beautiful and very useful. The satisfaction of seeing his student progress, the pleasure he takes in studying that the teacher has passed on to him: that is what is exciting and rewarding.
My teachers have always encouraged me in this way, have often noticed my provisions to pedagogy.
I am patient above all, and interested in the success of my students.
I have my own methods of learning: either at the piano, where I adapt to the progress of my student, or for school subjects, where my lessons have often been rewarded with good grades in the bac or even to the patent.

Unreliable teacher, too bad! She constantly postpones classes, warns 5 minutes before class time that she will be absent!!!! this is inappropriate! Total lack of seriousness!! Very disappointed with his behavior! Finally through a text message she decides for no reason not to give lessons! My children waited for the teacher for a month and they still haven't had piano lessons!
I strongly advise against this teacher!

Private lessons of Piano, Composition / Improvisation, Solfège and Musical Awakening in Lyon
I like to transmit music to adults and children who have never practiced or wanting to get back to the piano.
Adaptation of works according to the tastes and level of each.
With my courses you will know in a few weeks / months:
- Read a score (learning notes and rhythm gradually)
- Play songs (to immediately put the theory into practice)
- Recognize all the chords (and know how to have fun without a score too!)
- Understand musical language (to learn faster and retain longer)
- Interpret a work
- Improvise (you'll see it's very easy when you understand the music!)
* Music theory is learned as the pieces are deciphered to leave plenty of room for practice.
This is how a regular course works:
- 10 minutes of music theory (it's necessary but don't worry, I'll make it interesting for you)
- 10 minutes of technique (just to show off in front of the family and / or friends / girlfriends)
- 40 minutes of practice of a piece (because it is the best way to learn while having fun).
In any case, you will benefit with me from a framework to really advance on the piano and measure your progress, as well as a benevolence and encouragement to keep your motivation intact!

The goal is the development of the musical aptitude of the student and the deepening of the capacity of appreciation and understanding of the music.
The student will be encouraged to discover his creative potential and to work in an intelligent and investigative way from the first contact with the violin.
All aspects relate to the training of a musician: listening, technical mastery, sound and agogic sensitivity, music theory, reading scores and music theory etc., will be worked comprehensively and integrated from the beginning.
For children, all the basics will be worked in a fun way.
Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.
I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

If you're just learning music now and it feels like there's a lot to understand, don't worry we're gonna start from the basics. I will help you understand music and its elements.

Voice Lessons for Young/Inexperienced Singers - Classically Focused
These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation.
If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed).
*My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

Private guitar lessons for every level: from basic chords to out of the box improvisation
Hey!
My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels.
For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that!
Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;)
I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
Be sure to let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as soon as possible.
See you soon!
Richard
PS: my specified hours are a guideline, if this does not suit you, you can certainly send us a message and we will try to arrange something :)

Oud and oriental Arabic singing lessons with an experienced teacher
Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.
My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
Please feel free to leave me a message, I will reply as soon as possible.
Piano lessons for all levels and ages
A conservatory graduate and music theory teacher gives piano lessons.
All styles combined (classical, rock, accompaniment piano, etc.)
Method suitable for the little ones 4-5 years old
First course without obligation.
Professional jazz musician teaching jazz, blues, funk, R&B, pop, rock, latin and classical piano.
I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.
My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.
Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.
A bit about me:
Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.
Learn how to play Piano (or Keyboard) at your own pace.
Have you ever wanted to learn to play the piano/keyboard but don't know where to start? Are you regretting giving up learning the piano/keyboard when you were younger? Do you feel that your current progress in playing the piano/keyboard is being held back?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes then please contact me. I always try to ensure that each individual student's interests are catered for. If you want to play for pleasure then I will encourage you to learn pieces that you like. Alternatively, if you are more interested in achievement, in terms of taking graded exams, then this is the pathway that we will take.
Enjoyment is the key to success as it leads to a desire to practise. So tayloring the class to your needs is absolutely essential and I am very keen to work with you to achieve this goal.
