Academic and Practical skills for Drama and Theatre Arts

This class will prepare students for practical and written examinations related to the field of Drama and Theatre Arts (this may include but is not limited to; GCSE Drama, A-Level Drama, GCSE English language or Literature, BTEC courses, Degree level courses related to theatre and performance).

After an initial session to discuss the curriculum content and the outcomes the student hopes to achieve for their particular exam or performance, each session will be tailored to the individual students needs.

In the past five years I have obtained my Degree and Master's Degree in the field of contemporary theatre practices as well as working with a small company to produce and tour innovative new performances. I have an extensive skills-base spanning contemporary devised theatre, classical texts, producing, academic writing and much more.

I aim to make these classes fun and informative; allowing students to reach their potential academically whilst aiding them in becoming forward-thinking creative individuals.

I am a Teaching Associate and Writing Tutor at a London University. I have been teaching History and Essay Writing to undergraduate students for the past three years. I also have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level, Brevet, Baccalauréat).

I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. If their attention span is short, I will make sure to both work with it by adapting my lessons and work to improve it over time. My course is offered to a range of students [different ages] who have a desire to learn how to write and/or enjoy writing. On an additional note, my business writing experience extends to writing case studies and basic report writing [based on my Sotheby's experience]. I have 15 years of experience in high-quality private tuition, and I am also a Lecturer in EU Politics at one of the world’s leading universities (University College London).

My main areas of specialization are European Union politics and political economy, but I also regularly teach all other areas of Political Science, including Public Policy, Comparative Politics, Introduction to Politics, Populism, Democratisation, and many more. In addition, I teach Economics at a beginner/intermediate level.

My approach to teaching is results-focused. I first discuss with the student what are his/her objectives (this may be achieving top marks on a final exam, being able to undertake exercises given as homework, or increasing their understanding of certain aspects of a subject). We then devise together a work plan, to ensure that the student meets those goals.

This approach has been very successful in the past, as it is not only important to understand a certain subject, but also to be prepared for the particular type of examination or assessment that the student will need to face.

I have a Ph.D. in Political Economy from Utrecht University, a master's in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, and a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Hello! I am a professional model-maker for theatre and opera - having made model boxes for several designers as well as for my own work!

If you ever fancied a job as a set designer or just wanted to make 1.25 or 1.50 scale models, I can help you understand the different materials, working with scale and just how to make miniature things!

I can come to you or work via Zoom.

I teach fine art with an emphasis on painting and drawing, you will learn how to draw using charcoal, graphite, pencil and paint using oils, acrylic, ink and watercolour. However the lessons are deigned to experiment with as many materials and approaches to making art as possible in order to for you open up your practice.
The tutorials are also designed to engage in critical thinking, discussing your work in an informal but constructive way, and learning about art history by looking at other artists past and present.
Art is about being passionate and finding something you want to express in a visual language, and I’m here to help facilitate your vision.
