the EXMD, entrance exam for Medicine now passed in Competition is now slightly more complicated. The subject of this exam is specific and requires a teaching of logic and not the simple recitation of courses learned by heart. Indeed, it is professors of Medicine who create the questions of the competition and seek to make the student reason and reflect in order to classify him. There are 4 science subjects: -Mathematics -Physical -Chemistry -Biology These four subjects are essential to master because they will follow you throughout your first two years of Bachelor. And 4 non-scientific subjects: -Ethics -Empathy -Reasoning -Communication These subjects are based on fairly simple principles and a lot of logic, which is sometimes not innate! I obviously teach for the 8 subjects.

As a bachelor's student in the faculty of bioengineering at the Catholic University of Louvain, scientific disciplines are also part of my daily life. I teach chemistry, physics and biology to students up to secondary sixth grade. (My science classes are taught in French!).

Reconciling students with mathematics, physics and chemistry: this is the objective that I set for myself. How ? The purpose of this particular course is twofold. On the one hand, to catch up with the student, by helping him to build a solid technical base in the subject of his choice. On the other hand, guide him in his working method by aiming for productivity and academic autonomy. Today, a large number of students remain stuck in front of their notebooks for hours, without assimilating the slightest knowledge. Fascinated by productivity, I have long studied the factors that allow students to shine in their studies. Studying effectively is a skill that is not innate for everyone, but fortunately, it can be learned! Through these courses, I would like to guide students towards a productive way of working, in order to allow them to find an academic independence which will be vital for the transition to higher education. A productive student will achieve better results by working less, which will allow him to savor the material, rather than undergo it. The satisfaction that is derived will then help him to maintain a level of motivation throughout the year. My accompaniment: • Available H24, 7/7, via message/email outside of class to answer urgent questions about a class or an exercise. • Provide additional exercises if necessary. • Organization of “mock” exams to simulate real assessment conditions. • Possibility of giving lessons to two students at the same time if they are in the same class.

My methodology can be summed up in one sentence: Ensure an in-depth understanding of the subject, in order to be armed to face any type of exercise and problem. In science subjects, understanding is essential for success. So I start with a new student by making an inventory of his knowledge, in order to then be able to build step by step on it and arrive at the set objectives. My goal is that at the end of my lessons, the pupil can not only redo the same type of exercises as seen together, but can also on the basis of his knowledge come to solve exercises of a new kind. MY JOURNEY I am a student in the 1st year of a master's degree in civil engineering at the ULB, with a biomedical sciences orientation. The duration of the course takes place according to what the student desires. As a general rule, lessons of at least 1h30 are the most effective but it all depends on the student's involvement and motivation. I can give lessons for all secondary levels and possibly university level too. As for me, I love science and the world of engineering but I also really like sports, traveling and riding a motorcycle!
