Trusted teacher: A student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), I am currently in BA5 - third year of Bachelor's degree - in the IC (computer science) faculty. I have been giving private lessons since 2018 in mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences since the summer of 2021, I completed a 3-month internship in a hospital environment in the psychiatric sector and basic research in neuroscience. I was also accepted-collée (admitted to the competition but the quota places granted limited my entry into medical school) after having completed a national competition that was both selective and elitist to integrate a faculty of medicine: the first year common to health studies. Very difficult in math, physics, organic chemistry and biology. I was subsequently very involved in collaborative and associative projects to train students for the medical competition, in the first year. I like teaching, making people understand and seeing this moment of light on the student's face for whom everything becomes clear! ***** Procedure during the SUMMER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (July and August) for those who want to get AHEAD, review their BASICS or simply get back into the swing of things! ***** I have also been giving private lessons in mathematics and physics for 8th grade students at the gymnasium or in preparation for their maturity for 6 years. Many of my students have an ADHD profile, and I always enjoy adapting to the needs of each person, maintaining DYNAMICS in the course and doing interactive exercises so that the knowledge sinks in better. .. Dynamic, I am myself a studious and serious student. I have gone through the challenges and stress of exams and competitions many times. My goal is to give you confidence and provide you with the appropriate method to succeed in your course. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ RUNNING TIME FOR THE PRE-ENTRY COURSE - REFRESHER ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Notes: - Home visits possible from Morges to Pully: variable rates as no vehicle - Possible to give courses at Rolex, the EPFL library: fixed and cheaper rates _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Apart from the courses I offer, I specialise in providing support for the following: - Exam preparation. - Course reviews. - Review of an exam not understood or knowledge not acquired. I can be reached without further ado on the Apprentus.ch platform, for any questions and if necessary. Do not hesitate to contact me for any information request! Trusted teacher: Hello, I propose courses / supports in mathematics, as well as in physics (or math-physics) for the primary, secondary and gymnasium / high school levels. For a long time I have felt in myself skills and an innate talent in pedagogy and teaching. I have often been praised for my clear and simple way of explaining. If you have had trouble with other teachers or you are desperate in math or physics, well let me put you on the rails because I propose a unique teaching method! My experience has allowed me to develop an effective and above all foolproof technique based on exercise and clear explanations. Instead of chatting for three quarters of an hour and losing your concentration, I begin by giving you a short introduction to the subject, then very quickly we move on to a long series of varied exercises that I would have taken care to bring. We gradually increase the difficulty and I accompany you less and less, little by little we complete the theory but always very concise and obvious. Quite quickly, you do not need me anymore and you can solve any problem, even the most twisted. I still give you some exercises to do at home and finally you have all the cards to pass your test. In spite of my professional attitude and my quite mathematical personality, I am considered to be a very sociable and kindly person. The classes take place in a relaxed atmosphere, put yourself at ease with me. Especially do not be embarrassed if you want to say something, I am always happy to listen to you and this even outside the context of my courses (problems, request for advice, etc.). My goal as a teacher or coach is not only that you understand, but also that you become the best! As long as I remain my student, I will hope to achieve this goal, it is a challenge that I invented to spice up my work. I take a lot of fun in what I do, because in addition to loving teaching and seeing the level of my students improve, maths and physics are since a young age a passion for me. Incidentally, I was qualified 3 times in the Swiss final of the International Championship of Mathematical and Logic Games. I can move to your home in the whole canton of Vaud, but I lower my rate if the courses take place in certain places such as the Rolex Learning Center for example. Currently, I have about ten students and all seem very happy. I can send you references on request. I have a good knowledge of the program of the canton of Vaud and have many resources. If you are interested, being an independent developer, I also give programming lessons for 7 to 77 years (initiation, web, mobile, Python, Javascript ES6). I am classified 4'055 / 1'430'831 on the platform Codingame (see image). In order to gain your trust and to allow you to try my services, the 1st course is without commitment!

My extensive teaching experience covers a wide range of engineering courses, including: - Mathematics: algebra, linear algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics. - Mechanical Engineering: Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, and more. - Physics: mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc. - CAD/CAM Software: Autocad, Solidworks. - Mechanical Design Packages: ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA. My research and teaching interests are diverse, including: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction I understand that not all teachers excel in teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and explaining their importance to students. Courses with strong mathematical backgrounds may become boring for students who lack a solid mathematical basis. To address this, I take a student-centered approach, starting from the basics to actively engage all students, including those with weaker mathematical backgrounds. I also provide practical examples to demonstrate the real-world significance of what they are learning, inspiring and fostering their interest in the subject matter. If you have any additional questions before starting a class, please feel free to ask me. I am here to assist! :)

After my first lesson with Benson, i have felt more confidence in my skills with chemistry than i have in many years. Where I previously felt very subconscious and unable to answer questions, i have now been able to answer difficult IB exams questions with ease. Benson provided me a safe and comfortable environment which has left me excited for my next class at school to show what i have learned with a fresh confidence! I highly recommend this tutor to anyone who struggles with confidence in both themselves and their subjects.

Superb experience with Raef. I asked for his help to prepare a math assessment test with an enormous lack of basis but he accepted the challenge. I found out a nice teacher who is not afraid of explaining and repeating if necessary. I did enjoy his method with the whiteboard, it feels like you are in the same place and can interact on the same exercise. Either in English or french he will certainly be able to help you. He is super kind and flexible, I definitively recommend his services.
