Sound (music) · Music history
Trusted teacher: These classes are open to curious musicians of all levels who wish to delve into music theory. The topics of the lessons can vary depending on the goals and interests of the student. Usually I try to integrate the student's instrument into the lessons, so that the theoretical topics find direct practical application, thanks to short improvisation / composition exercises. As a researcher and performer, I pay a lot of attention to different music styles from the Middle Ages, from classical music to jazz. Even people with no knowledge of musical notation or instrument are welcome! My classes are suitable for musicians who plan to take an entrance exam for the Conservatory.

I have experience teaching violin to beginner and intermediate students for over 15 years in California, United States. I recently relocated to Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students who are interested in learning more about the violin. A bit about myself - I began playing the violin at age 9. I am a classically trained violinist and have performed with orchestras, chamber groups, rock bands, and jazz groups. I have performed in venues including Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House. Though I never pursued violin performance as a university major, I continue to maintain my skill, teach, and perform regularly. I have a passion for music history, and would love to talk about it with the student if they are interested. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Trusted teacher: I obtained my Brevet de formation musical, as well as my patent and CFE of classical guitar in a conservatory in France and I wish to transmit my passion to anyone passionate or simply interested in learning the guitar. I give lessons in classical guitar, folk guitar (accompaniment) and music theory. The course of musical theory (solfège), will be given during the course of classical guitar, which is obligatory. For folk guitar lessons, however, it is possible to work from tablatures. I adapt to the learning pace of each, as the work is done every day (15 to 30 minutes at least). The lessons are 45 minutes for children (from 8 years old) and go up to 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes for older children.
