He's very open and flexible in meeting students at the level they are, with no judgement at all, but with genuine interest and care, instead. He's very knowledgeable but also keeps the lesson light and fun. He's supportive and actively tries to help you improve, exploring your individual strengths and weaknesses with you, instead of sticking to any pre-conceived ideas. His comments never feel like he's correcting you, they always feel supportive. You can feel he loves what he's doing, and love and joy for piano-playing is the feeling you leave with after a lesson. I enjoy our lessons with Guido - he is a knowledgeable musician and a great teacher. He strikes a perfect balance between the student's comfort zone and the steps toward future growth, allowing you to learn slightly beyond it while still feeling ‘safe’. Appreciate his attention to various small details and the different examples he provides when a musical concept is difficult to understand. These are things that are hard to grasp and then fix on your own, and that’s the true beauty of in-person lessons. I wholeheartedly recommend him 🤌
