I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it. My main goal is to help you achieve your goals and prepare the best lesson for you! I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. Oscar is an incredibly talented musician who, in addition to his musical prowess, has shown a real talent for teaching. When I approached Oscar to deepen my understanding of music theory, I was pleasantly surprised by his well thought-through approach and I decided that I wanted to make it a regular thing. He organises lessons in a logical flow, uses appropriate practical materials to 'make sense of everything' and always has some food for thought for in-between lessons time.
