Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts. Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Asako can teach the cello for all levels and ages. Especially She is enthusiastic about teaching.

Music is a globally recognized form of expression that connects and unites us in various ways. As a musician, I have tried to inspire people from different walks of life to feel the joy and love of playing the piano and creating music. I have composed music for multiple bands, played for choirs, and accompanied many influential artists. I cleared the Grade 8 examination from Trinity College of Music, London in piano performance. My main goal as a music teacher is not just to provide training and lessons, but to inspire students to continue to learn and gain skills on their own and master the art of music composition. I offer classes both at the student's location and my own. My curriculum blends aural training, sight reading, performance, and composition (tailored to each student's proficiency level).

Graduated from a license in musicology, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies at the conservatory in the scholarly disciplines of composition, analysis, writing, musical arrangement as well as Jazz. I give piano and music theory lessons with my own method. The music theory part is not purely theoretical but always mixed with practice. My method emphasizes the deciphering of scores, given that the objective is to allow the student to be as independent as possible thereafter. It will also have a technical aspect, but I prefer to have her work directly with pieces rather than dry exercises. After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Hello, my name is Matéo and I am 25 years old. I have been playing the guitar for 8 years and I have been teaching it for more than 4 years to about twenty children or adult students that I have had in private or group lessons, at home or in music school. On the diploma side, I obtained my DEM Jazz (Diploma of Musical Studies) after several years in conservatory and music school. My favorite style is therefore jazz but I teach current music in general on the guitar (acoustic as well as electric) and above all I adapt to my students to teach them what they like. In addition to learning pieces, the knowledge I have acquired allows me to approach musical theory (the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic aspects inherent in each piece) and the logic of the instrument (the organization of the notes on the handle) if necessary, the goal not being to inflict a lot of music theory on ourselves but to use it to our advantage, by small touches, in order to become a complete musician. A few words about my pedagogy: For me, the most important thing - especially when you're just starting out - is to have fun making music. What I always ask my students: “What do you want to play? What music do you like? ". Because it is this desire that will make it possible to make the effort to work to achieve the result and above all to progress on the path. After a necessary moment spent on the fundamentals (posture, position of the fingers, right hand/left hand function, open chords, rhythm, simple melodies) I thus adapt to the profile of each student to offer him avenues of work in relation to the selected piece.
