My name is Dinara, and I have been teaching Chinese for over 15 years. I hold a degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. Languages are my true passion — I speak several of them, and this experience helps me better understand the challenges my students face when learning Chinese. When teaching, I focus on what matters most: communication. My students don’t just memorize characters and grammar rules — they learn how to speak Chinese confidently. Many beginners are intimidated by Chinese writing, but I make it simple and engaging by introducing characters through associations and stories. After all, Chinese characters are pictures: • 人 means “person” (a figure walking, seen from the side) • 从 means “to follow” (two people walking together) • 众 means “crowd” (three people together) The Chinese language is in many ways easier than English. Its grammar is straightforward, without endings, prefixes, or suffixes. In Chinese, many words are very visual and logical — they are compound words, similar to English examples like blackboard, toothbrush, or snowman. For instance: • “to fly + machine” = airplane • “ice + box” = refrigerator • “fire + mountain” = volcano This way of building words makes Chinese vocabulary easier to understand and remember. Due to a busy teaching schedule, I currently teach exclusively online. I also lead a team of native Chinese teachers who are fluent in English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, and Italian. I personally trained each of them in my teaching method. With this system, students can progress from beginner to HSK 5 in just two years, enabling them to use Chinese for work purposes and to study at universities in China. My students have successfully gone on to work at the European Parliament, large corporations, Chinese companies, and pursue studies in China. Beyond lessons, I create opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the language. Every summer, I organize a four-week study program at a Chinese university. We also hold regular visits to Chinese restaurants, where students practice their speaking skills in a real cultural environment.

Trusted teacher: With my thorough knowledge of the Chinese language and culture, we will search together for the appropriate way to master the language. In my experience, everyone learns in a different way, so we will find out together what is the most fun! I graduated in 2017 as a Sinologist at Ghent University (Chinese language and culture). I also obtained a master's degree at Sichuan University (四川大学) (2018). After that, I spent a few years in China. In addition to a basic course with an emphasis on oral, I create lessons that go beyond just language. Chinese language is embedded in culture and history, so we also take a moment to reflect on that. I have experience with private lessons for adults who move to China as expats, but the lessons are flexible and for all ages! Lessons: I use a basic Chinese course but there is a lot we can fill in ourselves. What kind of series/films do you like to watch? Is there any music you like to listen to? Through these questions I can recommend certain Chinese music and series that we can work with. For example, instead of homework I will give a film to watch, this way we learn through absorption instead of forcing ourselves to remember everything. If it is fun, everything sticks better! Would you like to focus more on speaking instead of writing or vice versa? That is possible, in which situations would you like to use Chinese? For work or for a trip? That way we can adapt the lessons to personal wishes. Once we have progressed a bit further, I also organize lessons and dinners with Chinese friends in Ghent or Brussels, so we can practice with real "native speakers". Please let me know if you have any questions, See you soon, Tommy

Trusted teacher: Hi, I am an international student from China currently pursuing graduate studies in education. I speak Japanese, Chinese (mother tongue) and French. I have studied in Japan, Hungary, Spain and Belgium and lived in China for 20 years. Since 2016, I have been working as a language teacher while studying and earning my undergraduate degree in Education in the aforementioned countries. I have taught more than 20 students so far, and the students and parents have responded very favorably to the results and the learning process, and have been motivated to learn a foreign language. I strongly believe that education is not a painful process, it is not only about learning subjects, but also about motivation, mental health and proper values. My relationship with my students is more like that of a friend; a superior teacher-student relationship can only lead to a negative reaction to the content. My students love my classes because they are filled with interesting and logical explanations, and I take every student's question seriously. For younger students, I will use more interesting and vivid examples to explain abstract knowledge, for example: the letter "a" is a mouth with a snake next to it, in which case we will surely yell "ah". For adults who are able to think logically, I will choose to explain in a more logical way, e.g. if there is the character for fire on the left side of the Chinese word "烤", the left of the word which is "火" looks like a campfire,so any word with this "campfire" means something about fire or high temperature, and the right part can be used to deduce the pronunciation of the word. My courses are available via Terminals, Skype, dingding, etc. If you are in Brussels then you are welcome to come to one of my offline courses! The classes can be taught in Chinese, English.
