Trusted teacher: Hey, I am Yu. Nice to meet you. This lesson can help you set out to learn how to speak Hanyu, read, and write Zhongwen. For this purpose, you will study the Chinese alphabet (Hanyu Pinyin), characters(Hanzi), vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and common words and phrases. If you want to learn the Chinese language, you've found the right class! Course materials can be: -Standard Course HSK (for language ability test) -Experiencing Chinese (for immersive classes) -Learn Chinese with me (for schoolchildren and teenagers) -AP Chinese -....... -any tailor-made materials that interest you This course is designed in three versions for different kinds of participants: 1) A Beginner! - Have little or no prior knowledge of the Chinese language; - Want to learn how to make yourself understood in Chinese when traveling, for example, understanding and speaking common everyday words (and sentences) in different typical scenarios ; - Hope to express 1-10 and some larger numbers in China in speech or by gesture decently. *Some examples at this stage: - Hello! Thank you. How are you? - Sorry. / You're welcome! - I can speak Chinese! What's your name? - What's the date today? What's the time now? - I'd like a cup of coffee. Is this seat free? - (and other current Chinese usages in any scenarios you're interested in! ) **Naturally, pronunciation and the four vowel tones are an important part of the lessons, but participants also learn the principles of Chinese writing and gain an understanding of Chinese culture! 2) An Intermediate Learner - Have upper-intermediate knowledge of Chinese; - Need to increasingly enhance our active language skills, to expand your vocabulary, practice reading without Pinyin, and master more advanced grammar and fixed structures to be able to make longer sentences; - Interest yourself in being able to express your views on common everyday topics, like foods, drinks, gifts, weather, Chinese habits, and common practice. 3) An Advanced Learner - Can speak and understand Chinese reasonably well; - Attempt to deepen your understanding of Chinese culture and learn more advanced grammatical constructs to communicate more specific and complex ideas in Chinese, both verbally and in writing; - Focus on topics dealt with leisure and hobbies, hospitality, culture, arts, poetry, history, dynasties and civilization, of modern and ancient China. ***I have lived in China for over twenty years, traveled to many cites (including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hongkong, Macau, and so on), and have been educated at respected schools and universities. Currently, I am studying Social Sciences in the Netherlands and I am a fan of Chinese literature/Japanese anime/Marvel films, so it's also welcome that you would like to have an informative and interesting talk in Chinese about these topics. +China captures the imagination with its fascinating contrasts. I am an experienced Chinese teacher with two years teaching adults in China and two years teaching children in an international school(5-16yrs old) in France. My class can be taught in English and French and can be tailored for different age groups. My teaching approach is to integrate the stories of Characters into lessons because I believe that the most powerful element of Chinese is its characters and they are the root of this language. The basic characters were originally drawings, which are closely related to its origin, culture, and history. Therefore I have a special interest in telling stories of Chinese characters and more importantly encouraging students to discover its beauty and build a relationship with them. If you learn some stories or even tell some stories by yourself, it'll be easier for you to understand the language and culture. Apart from learning characters, the purpose of the class is to enable: - beginners to communicate in Chinese for daily use purpose and read and write in short paragraphs; - intermediate students to communicate easily with native speakers and read and write short articles; - advances students to communicate fluently with native speakers over a wide range of topics and read and write long articles. Yu feels like a very experienced girl, she gives you the right kind of attention. Her command and enthusiasm of the Chinese language is out of this world. Not only will she teach you Mandarin very professionally, but she will also explain and give historic reasons for some notions. To put a word or phrase into context is in my opinion a very effective and pleasurable way of learning a new language. Within an hour we made so much progress; something I honestly did not expect. I'm very happy I found her and I'm already hyped for the many lessons to come.

Ruijiao
Ruijiao works very professionally, the contact with her is excellent, she prepares thoroughly for the lessons and sends me the material in advance. Her pupil is my 9 years old daughter - she finds the lessons with Ruijiao so interesting that she can barely wait to have the next one. My daughter also manages to take her notes and to repeat what she learned to me:) I did not know how to tackle the idea to start learning Chinese in case of a child and now I see that we are in best hands.
