This online Italian Diction course offers a comprehensive introduction to the pronunciation, articulation, and expressive delivery of sung Italian, tailored specifically for singers, voice teachers, and choral directors. Through the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), students will develop a clear understanding of Italian vowels, consonants, diphthongs, and stress patterns commonly found in art song and operatic repertoire. Emphasis will be placed on lyric diction principles, text interpretations, and applying diction skills to standard Italian vocal literature.
