About Me

I have some experience about teaching. For example, when I was studying in the university in Beijing, I joined a group as a volunteer to teach primary students who came from poor families. And I also teach some middle school students one to one for the income to support my studies.

Education

I got bachelor degree in Business management in China, and now I am studying in a master program in TU Darmstadt. I am good at maths. And since I lived in Beijing for many years, I could speak standard mandarin.

I am located near Geneva, Switzerland and I offer Chinese and Math lessons. Since 2016, I have been providing tutoring services to school students and adults on a weekly basis. I have over 4 years of experience teaching math to international students, ranging from primary school to high school, using English as the medium of instruction. I take classes in an innovative and practical way with lots of interactive activities as I believe it as a better alternative to rote learning.

Interestingly, the hardest language to learn is also the most widely spoken native language in the world. Mandarin Chinese is challenging for its writing system , the tonal nature and pronunciation .

Thanks to my major and experiences, I have taught Chinese and English in a private coaching form for more than 3 years. I have also obtained a Putonghua proficiency certificate (Level 2-A), and two master’s degrees in Education from both VUB in Belgium and Tongji university in China.
As for the teaching method, basically, I follow the ADDIE model in the teaching process which are Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, no pressure on that! I believe that methods are just tools for the student to understand better and reach learning objectives. I fully respect students’ personal needs, interests and objectives.
