I believe that language is a powerful tool today. Not only does it help us understand the world from a different perspective, but it also teaches us the culture of the people who use it. I have had the opportunity to work with teenagers for 5 years now as a student associate in a science center, as a mentor and a lecturer in a different field. What I have learned from that experience is that first and foremost one must become a friend with their student, to understand their needs and their attitudes. Do you already speak (a little) Dutch and are you looking for someone to practice with? I am happy to apply!

We speak Dutch and I observe where you make mistakes. I paraphrase in the conversation and correct where necessary. Before the lesson we agree on what you will practice on. This way we can also measure whether things are going better after the session. We can practice the other goals in the next session.

When you learn a language, a lot of practice is so important! You will notice that you make enormous progress when you speak Dutch for a long time with someone who listens carefully to you and coaches you on pronunciation, choice of words, sentence structure, ... You choose what your goal is, together we patiently practice until you succeed.

I am a teacher of Dutch to newcomers who speak Dutch at a primary school in Antwerp. Before this I gave Dutch lessons abroad to all ages for 8 years. Learning Dutch is not easy, but by practicing a lot with speaking, you quickly get 'that click'. Be sure to give it a try!

Ik ben Nederlandse en ik spreek ook vloeiend Frans, aangezien ik in Nederland een Master doe om Docent Frans te worden. Momenteel studeer ik een halfjaar in Brussel in het kader van mijn studie. Naast mijn studie zou ik graag mijn kennis van de Nederlandse taal inzetten door bijlessen te geven.

Ik heb veel ervaring als docent: ik ben inmiddels al 7 jaar actief binnen het onderwijs en heb lesgegeven aan leerlingen tussen de 12 en 20 jaar. Ook ben ik een enthousiaste docent, die veel voorbeelden gebruikt in haar uitleg en ook veel oefeningen bedenkt om actief met de lesstof bezig te zijn.

I mainly teach drums to children who want to learn to play the drums.
The youthful enthusiasm is worth its weight in gold. Of course I also teach adults.
The lessons are tailor-made and adapted to what you want to achieve. Starting with basic techniques and rhythms, tips and tricks in combination with scores if desired. I have been playing drums for 35 years and studied jazz at higher school. I also have a lot of band and stage experience.

The time and duration of the lessons can be tailored to your preference.
Lessons of 30 minutes or 60 minutes determine the distance.

We first look at where you are now and what you would like to achieve and I adjust my lesson based on that. Having lived in Ecuador, I know all too well how important it is to be truly immersed in a language. That's why I think practice is very important: talking about your interests!
