I started my career as an English language teacher in 2008 and soon became very passionate about language learning and teaching. This culminated in a Masters degree in second-language acquisition and a CELTA Certificate from Dundee College. I specialised in Trinity and Cambridge exams and also in conversational English for practical and everyday use. After many years overseas, both teaching and examining English, I have returned to Spain and am available to share my extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of English. I currently work as an Aviation teacher in a school in Alicante where I have taught for some years. My teaching approach is student-centred and communicative, where learning is a positive experience in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. All my students are encouraged to speak as much as possible to increase fluency. Professionalism, patience and a good sense of humour guaranteed! All lesson materials are provided free of charge. I teach using a mixture of coursebook material , whiteboard presentations, listening activities, video clips and general speaking practice. While my classes are 100% in English, I can also speak Spanish and some Italian words. This gives me a real insight as to why students make certain mistakes, and how to best avoid them. We can work towards any of these goals. All materials will be provided by email. You won’t need to spend time writing lots of notes but rather on having enjoyable and highly productive lessons. Any age or level is welcome. I have taught children from 4 years of age to adults of 72 years of age; one-to-one lessons or in pairs or small groups. Classes are conducted online via WhatsApp or Zoom. In our first online lesson, I would like to find out a little bit about yourself and your reasons for needing English lessons. Amazing Tutor for Teens - So Glad We Found Younes! I was initially hesitant about online French tutoring for my 14-year-old daughter, especially since she wasn't thrilled about starting classes in the first place. However, from the very first session with Younes, all my worries disappeared. He has an incredible ability to connect with this age group. He immediately broke the ice, made the lessons engaging, and somehow managed to get my daughter genuinely interested and actually looking forward to her next class! We've now had around 8 classes with Younes, and the difference in my daughter's confidence in school is remarkable. Maria is an excellent teacher who can adapt her teaching style according to her student. My daughter and I both had lessons with her and we both found the lessons both enjoyable and challenging. We both feel we made progress. My daughter has had several tutors over the years and thinks Maria is, for her, perfect.
