Hello all, I am Rotem (24), I am a guitarist and a composer, and currently pursuing my master's in music composition and theory in ZHdK. I graduated with honors studying jazz performance with classical composition as a side subject from New England Conservatory (Boston).

I have been performing, touring and teaching around the world: New York, Washington DC, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, and more!

I have grown up with educaiton both in jazz and classical practices, and therefore am very versatile and fluent with both worlds which i believe creates a unique and interesting perspective for approaching music.

In our lessons, we could focus on anything you'd like to: guitar, music theory, composition, ear training, electronic music, improvisation (jazz and free improvisation), rhythm, and many more.

If you're currently preparing for auditions, exams, or just feel like picking up an instrument or learn about music, feel more than welcome to get in touch!

The lessons can be held in English, or Hebrew, either in my house in Escher Wyss-Platz, in Toni Areal, or your place.

Education

New England Conservatory (Boston) - Bachelor's studies with Stratis Minakakis and Joe Morris, both guitar and composition.

ZHdK - Master's studies in composition with Isabel Mundry, with minor in music theory.

Both degrees funded with merit-based scholarships

Hello My name is Kay and I specialise in Saxophone and music learning for any level - from learning foundations and fundamentals of music. My goal is to motivate and encourage anyone who has an interest in learning and playing the saxophone through different styles!

These sessions are for people who want to gain some different skills and perhaps unleash an unknown talent for music and the saxophone!
You will learn a variety of saxophone techniques which will be suited for your learning and be provided a comprehensive music learning experience. If there are additional requirements that would like to be explored, there are always possibilities for these situations! I am happy to assist with any questions and preferences in music styles and genres.

Hello and welcome!

A former student of the Popular Conservatory of Music in Geneva, I am currently a master's student at the Geneva University of Music, Neuchâtel site.

I have 14 years of violin practice behind me and very much wish to transmit and share my passion for music.

In order to make you progress at best, I will rely on solid pedagogical and technical bases but will also be able to adapt to you and your desires / needs. We will be able to discuss the repertoire that you want to tackle: from baroque to contemporary music to film music - as long as it makes you vibrate ...! I will also be able to find people to make chamber music so that you can discover the pleasure of playing together.

If you want to learn basic solfeggio, it is totally possible to integrate it in the course, to see with the schedules.

These courses are primarily for beginner / intermediate violinists of all ages as it is never too late to start.

If you are at the conservatory or at a music school, I am also available for support work.

I teach in French, Russian or English.

Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Music and especially flute and piccolo are my real passion. My lessons will be always different, based on the student. My main goal is to make music affordable to everyone, that's why I love to have students of any age. I'd love to have the opportunity to spread my passion: music should be first of all fun and a real joy!

I am a Juilliard School (New York) alumni, and I also studied at Hanns Eisler Hochschule Berlin and HEMU Lausanne. From time to time I play with the Musikkollegium Winterthur and Lausanne Chamber Orchestra.

I am a Belgian cellist and studied in Antwerp, where I finished my Masters before moving to Switzerland to do a postgraduate at the Zurich University of the Arts. I love working in chamber music, in musical theater (with dance, actors, fine arts) and I am very passionate about traditional/world music as well.

Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses.

Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels).

My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing.

Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique.

The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible.

I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar.

Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality.

Hello, my name is Izabel and I play the viola professionally and work in Zurich Opernhaus as well as other orchestras.
I also have more than 10 years of experience teaching the violin, the viola and music theory.
I can speak fluent English, Bulgarian and French. I can also understand German, but cannot fluently communicate.
I would be happy to work with you or your child at your home, or in my studio, as well as give an online course. My weeks are often quite flexible and I am happy to accommodate to your schedule whenever it is possible.

It is an important step in one's development to seek the right guidance and to have a teacher who helps them develop and grow. I was lucky to have been taught by incredible teachers, but I also needed to create a specialised way of practicing for myself, which I soon realised could help many others get through the difficulties of learning the stringed instrument.
