This is particularly important in sciences and tricky maths! Practice makes perfect, but it has to be the right type! An understanding of where the marks are allocated can make this much easier. Play the game? Exams to me represent not just a factual recall or knowledge application test, but a strategic challenge where tactics, organisation and creative, targeted revision are rewarded. Strategically approaching exams with an eye to exam technique and ‘playing the mark scheme’ has always helped me get the best results. The sessions generally take place according to the following stages: 1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps. 2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises. 3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach. 4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course. I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach. In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum. Carlos is an amazing teacher! I have learned more studying with him in a few months then I have learned in a year with other teachers. He is patient, knowledgeable and organized. We have good conversations and he really knows how to activate the language and give confidence to his students. For more basic students like myself it's very useful that he can speak other languages so well, although we use mostly Spanish in our lessons. He is simply the best! I highly recommend Carlos as a teacher!

Florencia welcomed us with different activities to find out about our level of Spanish. The lessons gave plenty of speaking opportunities. She took the time to analyse the mistakes made on Spanish exams to find ways of improving. After each lesson, Florencia gave us links for more online excersices and the notes to the lesson.
