Where to set that high pass filter on the vocal? How much saturation does the snare need? Musical arrangement and instrumentation Production techniques, in the context of mixing How best to use harmony in string quartets, or choirs or horn sections How to place the guitar? Does it even need one? I can give creative input and advise having written and composed more than 150 songs and recorded approximately 100+. Having run a UK based record label for almost 20 years. If using a studio DAW, my experience is mainly with LogicPro although most creative 'arrangement' decisions do not need to be technical knob twiddling. My background as a musician is vocals and guitars but as an arranger I've worked with everything.
