I have a Bachelor in Jazz Drums and I have just achieved my Master in Jazz Drums at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. I have 8 years of experience in music teaching, both private and in schools. I would like to teach drums and share with you this musical world. About the lessons, my method really changes according to the needs of the student. It's very important for me to know a student and what he/she wants to achieve in order to create a specific program that suits him/her. All levels are welcome: from the beginner to the more advanced, I am open to give lessons to everyone who wants to explore the drums and the beauty of music. I am ready to work on all aspects of the drums: techniques, rudiments, grooves, fills, timing, musicianship. As a drummer I have a lot of experience in many different music genres, both teaching and playing: from jazz to funk, from rock to pop, and also folk music in case you want to have a more percussive approach. Last but not least, my idea as a teacher is to create a friendly enviroment: having fun is the most important thing in order to learn in a natural and effective way! I am available to give lessons at my place. I have a rehearsal room with 2 drumsets, one for the student and one for me, so to show clearly and immediatly all the concepts. At the rate of one session each we will focus once on technique and movements outside the drums (on pads) and the other time on the drums and the application of technique and movements. -> The technique lessons and the movements will be those of the so-called 'Moeller technique' that I learned through his direct lineage of student. -> The drum lessons are greatly inspired by the pedagogy of the M.A.I. (Music Academy International - Nancy (fr)) and in particular that of Richard-Paul Morellini, renowned instructor. The courses are complete, in-depth but above all specifically thought of to be progressive. They are suitable for children from 7 years old as well as adults of all ages. => Particular attention is paid to the movements and their correct application, to the total independence of the limbs and finally to an understanding of the rhythm and its theory.
