Mes débuts dans la musique remontent à mon enfance où j'ai suivi des cours de piano, de composition, de guitare, de batterie et de technique vocale.
J'ai étudié la composition et le piano pendant 5 ans et j'ai obtenu mon diplôme en janvier 2018.
Je suis actuellement interprète et je participe à différents projets musicaux dans Bruxelles. Je continue d'étudier et de suivre d'autres formations comme la production audiovisuelle, le latin jazz et le marketing pour musiciens.

I'm a Dutch drummer based in Brussels since 2015 and I have been teaching drums since 12 years.
From September 2023 I will be teaching at the Conservatory of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

I am Thijs (30) an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatory in Ghent. In addition, I have followed masterclasses and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups.

My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole. These building blocks together with the student's interests form the curriculum, so that it meets the student's wishes as best as possible. I also teach music theory/music theory. Some aspects of this are also offered during drum lessons.

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, more than 100 students.

I am Natalia, a pianist, composer, and music teacher. Music plays a central role in my life and forms the basis of everything I do: playing, creating, and teaching.

At the piano, I constantly discover and develop new musical ideas. Composing music is a natural way for me to express feelings, atmosphere, and stories. Sometimes a composition originates from a small motif or a simple melody that slowly develops into a complete piece of music. My inspiration comes from various sources: life, emotions, nature, films, stories, and moments of silence in which music can arise spontaneously.

My music moves between various styles, with a strong emphasis on melody, atmosphere, and emotion. The foundation often lies in the piano sound, but the musical language I use can contain classical influences as well as modern, cinematic, or popular elements. I love music that evokes images and tells a story, as if the listener can feel a scene or a world simply by listening.

In addition to composing, I also share my musical experience as a music teacher. In my piano lessons, I want to teach students not only how to play notes, but also how to understand, interpret, and experience music. For me, learning music is a process in which technique, listening, creativity, and expression come together. Therefore, in my lessons, I pay attention to musicality, interpretation, and developing a personal musical voice.

My experience as a composer also influences my teaching style. I help students not only to perform music, but also to understand how music is structured and how a melody, harmony, or rhythm is created. I am a conservatory-educated guitar teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience who has recently moved to Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. I am fluent in English, Dutch, and French, and have extensive experience teaching both one-to-one lessons and classroom settings.

I have a long track record of preparing students for graded examinations such as ABRSM and Trinity, with students regularly achieving merit or distinction. At the same time, lessons can also be tailored to students who simply want to learn for enjoyment or personal development.

My teaching covers a wide range of styles including classical, pop, jazz, and rock. I aim to teach music holistically, incorporating not only technique and repertoire but also music theory, music history, and the broader understanding of how music works.
