I am Carlos (08/02/1992), professional violinist and violin and viola teacher. I started playing the violin when I was 15 years old. This means I can still clearly remember the methods and techniques I used to learn how to play the violin. I will certainly take these experiences with me into my teaching position. These insights allow me to teach each student according to his/her desires and needs. My passion for teaching started when my father and nephew wanted to learn to play the violin. Lessons are taught in a relaxed yet serious setting. I have a greater affinity for traditional blues than blues rock. You don't necessarily need to be able to read music, either for guitar or piano. I can teach you (the basics of) sheet music on the piano and explain the tablature system for guitar. You certainly don't have to follow the music stave religiously; finding the right feel and trying to improvise are more important and central. Recognize and understand the blues patterns: 8 bars, 12 bars, 16 bars, ragtime blues, and all its variations. A suitable schedule is made for each student personally. I'll determine what works best for you as an individual and, in consultation with you, develop a lesson plan based on that. For example, you can choose the songs you want to play and the techniques you'd like to learn/improve.
