As a University Master in Biomedical Sciences graduate, I offer a unique and personalized teaching approach, aimed at strengthening the learning performance of my students. My teaching methods is structured and interactive, whereby I ensure that the students are actively involved in the learning process. I believe that clarifying and illustrative lessons are the key to a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Therefore, the lessons will be taught in an entertaining and challenging way, motivating the students to get the best out of themselves. In addition to offering regular exercises related to the course, I also offer extra insight exercises to master the subject matter even better. I studied Latin Sciences at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Brussels and I am currently in my 3rd bachelor's degree in Applied Economics (TEW) at the KUL. Mathematics, science subjects, and languages can be challenging. I therefore offer my services to provide additional support to students in secondary school. Together with my students, I go over the course material, do sufficient exercises and discuss with them what the right study approach is. I offer mathematics lessons with a lot of passion and pleasure. After a year and a half of experience, I have found that tutoring mathematics is something I love to do! I myself am a law student at the KULeuven, but with a great passion for mathematics!

My name is Mira, I am 23 years old and I will graduate as an industrial engineer in 2022. I am currently a PhD student in the Mechanical Department of KU Leuven. Here I teach industrial engineering students every week. I have also been active at Chiro for 17 years. Who are my tutoring sessions intended for: - Secondary education students (12-18 years) -Higher education students (college or university) Subjects: - physics - dynamics - statics - technical drawing - electricity I am a person with a lot of patience and attach great importance to good communication. Through an initial conversation we discover together where exactly the bottlenecks lie. We can then tackle these together by going through step-by-step theory and exercises. You will then be given some assignments to complete at home that we can then look at together. I'm sure you are capable of much more than you think! Together we become real experts!

- As for the lessons. The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises). In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary. - Way of handling. I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way. I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results. - Why am I doing this? Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. Unfortunately, my love for mathematics is not part of my studies and that is why I like to do this as a hobby and as an extra income. Of course I work professionally. - Experiences? Of course I also have experience in tutoring mathematics of both primary and secondary education. - Who am I? My name is Arina and I am a legal practice student. I am 22 years old and I live in a student flat in Leuven. In high school itself, I had a traumatic experience in first and second high school for mathematics. I thought it was a very interesting and cool subject, but I just couldn't understand it. During these years I had the same teacher, who did not teach me the subject matter in a, for me, the right way. After (compulsory by my parents) tutoring, my interest in mathematics increased to such an extent that I started studying economics mathematics in the following years. My love for math just won't go away...

I am a TEW student at the KULeuven and would like to offer my services to secondary school students who could use some help outside school hours. Together with my students, I look for the right study approach to fully understand the courses and I myself try to present the subject matter in a different way so that my students gain more insight into the subject matter to be known. I myself graduated from the Sint-Albertus College in Haasrode with a diploma in science mathematics (6 hours) and I was brought up perfectly bilingual (Dutch-French).

Mathematics and science subjects can weigh heavily on your study career during secondary education. It is therefore important to perform well on this. This can be a challenge for many students, especially in the third grade. In my lesson I try to explain the subject matter to students based on their own course, my old course and extra exercises. The ultimate goal is that the students gain a better understanding of their course.

Having conducted international-level experimental and theoretical scientific research for many years (PhD University of Cambridge, National Physical Laboratory, Max-Planck Institute, KUL, and UCL) I offer tailored and adaptive tutoring in mathematics, chemistry, and physics. My main focus is in helping those pupils in their final two years of school who are preparing for university. I also specialize in preparing students for the Belgian medical entrance exam by actually solving the problems of all the past entrance exams and providing tips and insight for rapidly homing in on the correct answers. My philosophy is that science and mathematics can be related to each person's everyday experience. I try to provide insight and solid foundations so that students will not have to rely heavily on blindly memorizing large sections of their courses.

This course is fitted individually, depending on the needs of the student. If the student would like to focus on grammar then the material should be sent beforehand so I can have a chance to look at it and prepare for any questions that may arise. If the student would like to focus on spelling and/or spoken English then no material should be sent beforehand, just an overview of the request. If the student would like to focus on reading I'll supply the materials depending on their level. As for math, I only teach high school students and first year University students. The material for the class should be sent to me beforehand so I can be better prepared to answer any questions.
