Learn to Draw and Paint, or Improve, with a Classically trained painter- technical skillsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Small Group Painting and Drawing lessons, any level! I am a classically trained painter, I have been painting seriously for 20 years and studied intensively in Florence, Italy. I will teach you the basics about light, form, line, colour and space, and how to constantly grow and improve. We start with drawing from observation and continue to other mediums, including oil paint, once the student is ready. Landscape, still life, portrait, expressive. My goal is to help my students improve every time and reach new levels. I provide many examples from art history as well as my own work, and give lots of demonstrations. I offer a personalized approach fitted to each student. The classes are in a small group format and each student works at their own pace: private classes with other students present, offering a supportive and convivial environment in which to learn and grow. Each student receives personalized instruction at their own level. Each student is guaranteed to improve. I accept students who are looking for longer term learning, not one offs, although a trial session is possible. Commitment is a must to grow! Try out one lesson to see if the class is a good for for you. My students tend to stay with me for the long term, if it is the right fit. The classes take place in my studio in Molenbeek, close to city center and easily reached with public transport.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstract ArtTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstract ArtTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstraction. Sculpture classes for amateurs or beginners. Starting with bas-relief and progressing to sculpture in the round. I offer classical or abstract training in contemporary art, allowing you to explore your imagination and/or create figurative figures. The course is obviously based on your interests. If you're interested in learning practical sculpting techniques, such as figurative art, we'll focus on that. If you're more drawn to a more abstract form of expression, I'll guide you through your more fantastical ideas. Once your pieces are made, we will think together about the best finishes, whether it be molding and casting in plaster, or ceramic firing of the work. Your productions in progress will be protected and handled with care, and any production that passes the final molding or baking stage will belong to you; I will ask you to take them back when they are finished. The figurative and abstract art courses offer different paths, which can obviously be combined to achieve an interesting middle ground. The figurative course provides busts and plaster casts from which to create models, allowing you to better understand the forms of the face, body, and volumes that make up the human being. Anatomical references will also be available as needed; for example, when working on the torso in modeling, I will present you with advanced anatomical references that you can keep. The course on abstraction operates on another axis, freer, where it will be your ideas above all which will build your path, with technical help from me, advice and helping hands when you need it. You can combine these two courses and I will gladly accompany you on this more mixed path. Since sculpture is a medium that takes up space, your works should not exceed certain dimensions, which will be determined based on your desires and ambitions. Materials are provided: clay, plaster, modeling tools, and other tools. The quantities of clay and plaster will vary depending on your artwork and the chosen method; this variation may affect the price. For example, a piece requiring 5-10 kilos of clay will be less expensive than one requiring twice that amount. Silicone molding may also incur higher costs. Develop Your Artistic Voice — Conceptual Art & Contemporary Art Mentoring.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Develop Your Artistic Voice — Conceptual Art & Contemporary Art Mentoring.Translate this text using Google Translate.

How do you move from making individual artworks to developing a practice that feels genuinely your own? I am a professional visual artist with more than 30 years of international experience. In these individual mentoring sessions, I work with artists and creative people who want to develop a more personal artistic language, deepen their ideas, or reconnect with a practice that has become stuck or uncertain. Rather than teaching a particular style or giving you formulas to follow, we look closely at what already interests you: recurring images, materials, questions, experiences, contradictions and ways of thinking. From there, we explore how these elements can become part of a stronger and more individual body of work. Our sessions may involve discussion of your current work, experimentation, sketchbooks, writing, research, contemporary art and art history, as well as artists, writers and thinkers relevant to the questions emerging from your practice. We can work on questions such as: What makes your work yours? Which ideas are worth pursuing? How can you develop a concept without simply illustrating it? How can research become part of the work? How do you recognise and move beyond habits, imitation or creative blocks? This mentoring is suitable for people who want more than technical instruction and are interested in developing an independent, thoughtful and sustainable creative practice. Sessions are available in English or Portuguese and are shaped around each person's interests, work and creative process.

Justin is a true professional and is really gifted at helping job seekers in their career path. He assisted me a lot with career advice, job application adaptation and proofreading. He is really good at communication, reading between the lines, and highlighting the core idea. Our lessons or as I would rather call it a master class, were absolutely great and easy going. Thank you very much, Justin, for your amazing approach, custom-made professional and easy attitude, and a super international mindset. I would very much recommend it!

Extremely professional and knowledgeable with any problem that I have had. Reza is always polite, friendly and always shows great patience, which I believe is of the highest importance when learning difficult subjects. I highly recommend him as a teacher!

I spent a lovely couple of hours with Shoshana, where she taught me the basics of mixing scale and I attempted to paint my first shape. The class was a gift and I loved it, I’d definitely be back if I had more time.
