To live and reside in the Netherlands a certain level of Dutch is not only handy but also necessary if you want to have a job. As part of the process to become a Dutch national, you need a basic level of Dutch, being A1 to B2. I am a certified Dutch teacher with 8 years of teaching experience. Besides teaching Dutch to Dutch high -school students in the years 1- 4 mavo/ havo/ vwo, I also have extensive experience teaching Dutch to expats/ foreigners. I am therefore familiar with the “inburgeringsexamen” and the NT2 curriculum (Dutch for foreigners) for those who want to reside in the Netherlands. I am very knowledgeable and teach with passion, creativity and enthousiasm. I love the Dutch language and teaching it to others, as well as interacting with all types of cultures and age ranges.

Classes tailored to you professional or personal objectives. We speak as much French as possible. The more you speak, the more you will improve your language skills. Conversations are friendly and enjoyable. We usually have fun! I use English as a basis for teaching French - as a non-Dutch speaking and a native French/English bilingual. Special focus on speaking, while improving both reading and writing. These sessions are conversation-based, supplemented with reading and writing activities. Emphasis on specific grammatical rules and items to correct recurrent mistakes. DURING CLASS I draw special attention to specific standards of contemporary French: -> Key phrases, word order, wording, register of language, use of specific grammatical items, idioms, intonation, pronunciation, and other tips and tricks. -> Interactive training focused on realistic contexts and topics you are interested in. -> Authentic course materials (official lessons and exercises, media, videos, press, films, etc.) -> Continuous feedback -> Support tailored to specific professional objectives.
