The teacher has been singing for 22 years. She studied Solfeggio and Piano at the Musicole (Uccle) then Singing and Soflège at the Académie de Saint Gilles, in Lyric Singing. She took group singing lessons with several renowned teachers (La Voie Créatif, Frédérique Rochette, Jérôme Porsperger, Corps Chant Voix). The teacher has a piano to work on vocals and piano. The teacher works on the basis of song texts. The student discovers or recognizes the song after choosing between several titles. The teacher adapts to her student's tastes as to the type of music that pleases him, she transmits her knowledge of singing whether for melody, for rhythm, for the placement of the voice and breathing. The teacher encourages the student and is caring. The teacher transmits her taste and passion for music.

The teacher can also provide sheet music for classical or other music songs upon request. The teacher sings in a choir. It is also possible to work on rhythm using a metronome and a djembe, although the teacher is not a djembe specialist.

Bachelor in English/Spanish Translation, and holder of a CAP diploma (Certificate of Teaching Aptitudes) I give private English lessons for pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, style, etc. through conversation. I taught English to groups of children in private schools, teenagers in remediation, then adults in the French Community of Belgium for 15 years. Belgian-American, I am native. I have traveled to London many times to visit art galleries and concerts with friends. I have stayed in the USA a large number of times because my family on my father's side lives there and family is important to me.

I provide teaching materials if necessary but a financial contribution for copies is required at the start of the course in addition to the amount of each lesson. I correct the errors by proposing one or more alternatives to the erroneous version but I do not cut the person off while they are speaking, I wait for the end of the sentence, the end of the paragraph, so as not to cut them off. fluidity. I also work by theme by providing copies with texts to read or grammar exercises to do, either at the moment or the next time. I give homework if it suits the student, otherwise, all the work is done in class, and the student reviews between sessions, for faster improvement in their level. We can also work on songs based on song lyrics. Texts based on press articles. It is necessary to be curious, to dare to ask questions, to dare to have a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn, through trial and error. I use innovative methods. If I don't know how to answer a question, I write it down and answer it in the next class.

The teacher is passionate about Spanish and Spanish and Latin American culture. She has stayed in Spain countless times. She loves the Spanish language and its subtleties. She loves communicating in Spanish with her friends. She loves traveling to Spain and Central America. She worked with the Latin America House as a journalist after doing interviews and writing articles during her travels.

Based on an article or a theme brought up by the student or professor, the conversation between professor and student can begin. Then the teacher takes notes of the errors she hears. She transmits this information to the student after he has finished speaking, so as not to interrupt his fluency. Thus the student learns how to improve by asking the teacher questions and taking notes of the answers.

In French :
For almost ten years, my method has strived to move away from those found at the Academy, sometimes considered austere and outdated. In my opinion, the student is the main actor in his learning, and the teacher should be his caring guide. In my opinion, his role is to provide him with appropriate help and support, and not to impose pre-established rules that do not take into account his unique needs.
The image of the harsh and cold teacher should therefore be forgotten with me. My philosophy is always to encourage without imposing.
The student will also have the opportunity to have access to a much broader repertoire than that imposed in classical education. Thus, he will be able to play his favorite music from all walks of life, whether it be themes from songs, plays, films, series or even video games. Of course, I also encourage classical music, as long as the student finds pleasure in it, which remains and will remain the most important for me.
After all, what is music if not the purest and universal essence of our humanity, which brings together and unites our hearts and minds?
In English:
Over a decade of teaching, I have developed a method of teaching piano that differs from the ones found in the academic environment. For me, the student should be at the center of his learning journey. The teacher should be a guide who provides the student with tailor-made help and support, without forcing preexisting rules that don't reflect the unique needs of each student.
No cold, strict or ill-tempered teaching on my watch! My philosophy goes by the following: always encourage, never impose.
The student also has the opportunity to explore a much larger repertoire than the one imposed in classical education. He/She has the freedom to play any music from all backgrounds, including songs, shows, movies, series or even video games. Of course I also encourage classical music, as long as the student enjoys it, which will always be the most important part for me.
After all, what is music, if not the purest and most universal essence of our humanity, the one that connects our hearts and souls?
